Haven't seen a whole lot of talk about classic rock on this board (too many metalheads I think), so I'd like to ignite some by saying, "LEAD ZEPPLIN ROOLZ!"

'Hammer of the Gods' is a very entertaining read...
I fucking love John Bonhams drumming, he was a total inspiration to me. In cleveland rocknroll hall of fame I got within drooling distance of his kit....mmmmm.
He used to tape a 2 pence coin to the skin of his bass drum to give it that real thud.
I don't like all their stuff but they have made some undeniably classic songs, Kashmir....houses of the holy...immigrant song..

They're okay. Definately a bit overrated, I think. Never liked them too much besides their few hit songs.

Immigrant Song and Kashmir kick ass. I'm not fond of Houses of the Holy (the song and the album, actually).

They bore me to be quite honest :/

I like what they did with the Beastie Boys though.

No way in hell they are overrated.

How can Led Zeppelin possibly bore you?

The same way a science book is boring to a pig.

Whatever.

Last time I checked people where allowed to have things called an "opinion". I dunno if you've heard of it.

You can have all the opinions you want, but I disagree with you on this one.

I got my dad the new Led Zepplin DVD for fathers day. It kicks more ass than i care to describe.

I agree with Helm. Fun music to listen to, but not as great as they're acclaimed to be.

I grew up with classic rock stations and got burned out on Led Zepplin. I still like them and will listen to them when the mood strikes but I'm not one of those fanatics who think that they're "rock gods" or something. Anyway, if I want to hear some group do covers of old blues songs (or, in some cases, at least using the same style) I'd rather listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn.

They started out as a bluesy outfit, sure, but they didn't really stay that way.

There were blues songs on "Coda" ... their last album.

I have a lot of respect for zepplin because metal probably wouldn't be here without them... they pretty much laid the foundation... as for their music, eh i think its a little overrated, but not bad

I can listen to a song or two by Zepplin, but they frigging bore me if I try an album. They're music is certainly innovative and original, but they copy themseleves from song to song. Listening to them often would certainly become stale.

Some of their albums are more diverse than others. Led Zeppelin II is a bit hard to listen to because the songs sound pretty much all the same. I, III, and Physical Graffiti are fucking brilliant though.

I hate to contribute to bumping an old thread but I have to say to this day Led Zepplin don't do anything for me. Stairway To Heaven was a snore and I think The Immigrant song was really cheesy.

I like alot of there songs i've heard, but there's some songs that sound like blues that i don't like. It's pretty unconsistent to me.
