You can try The Edge (http://www.edge.org/) . It's more like a "cutting edge" science page but there's some philosopy thrown in there (especially during the interviews). The New Scientist (http://www.newscientist.com) website is pretty good although somewhat more mainstream.

I'd highly recommend reading The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene. He does a very good job of explaining elementary principles such as special relativity and such, and speaks of string theory in a very philosophical tone.

I also would recommend The Elegent Universe. I have let so many people borrow my copy that I have to put a rubber band around it to keep it from falling apart. Also A Breif History of Time is excellent.
