Anyway, to start things off, the link is http://www.blizzard.com/war3x/

It's updated often with new info, so check it occasionally. So far, two new heroes have been announced: The Blood Mage, and the Crypt Lord (both are shown on the site).

Also, this is copied from the main page:

One new Hero per race, each possessing powerful spells and magical abilities

A host of new units, each equipped with new abilities and spells, giving players the opportunity to create diverse strategic and tactical forms of combat

Player-built shops, unique for each race, equipped with items carefully designed to improve and aid the units of every race

Neutral Heroes, available for recruitment by all players, that can supplement and strengthen a player's army with all new spells and abilities

Expanded multiplayer options over Battle.net® including multiple new game types, clan and tournament support

I mena i can understand for a full game but a beta for the expansion seems a bit ridiculous.

The game is really good, I just don't have the time to learn it. Everytime I play online, I get SLAUGHTERED. I need to just shutdown I-Mockery for 2 months and play the game nonstop so I can get good enough. >:

Moving on, I'm glad they didn't add a new race. That would probably have ended up coming off really bad, just throwing in a bunch of units for a new race. I was kind of thinking they might have added the Legion, but they said that they were just too powerful to have as a playable race.

WC3 is definitely more fast-paced than Starcraft or the other Warcrafts. Easy to rush, too.

I'm glad they made the game more fast paced and force you into attacking and scouting. I hate those BW games where 3 people fight and the 4th *cough* MEW *cough* sits back and lets them attack each other and moves in on the weakened forces.

I'm reading Gamespot's latest details on the expansion, and I'm a little conflicted.

The Night Elves have a new hero who is made specifically to hit hard and help take out other heroes. This is quite unsettling, in my opinion. What's going to stop someone from sending the Warden (the hero in question) to a base, and do considerable damage. With the Demon Hunter (or even Blademaster, from the Orcs), they dealt fair melee damage, and could be used to put the hurt on the enemy's resource income. But at least they could be fended off with a hero and a couple units. Now it seems like that will be a problem.

Also, they have Mountain Giants, which are melee warriors, and can take a great deal of damage. Moreso, they have a Taunt ability to draw attacks to them.

The other additions for other races seem fine (though I wish the Humans got a better hero, as the original three always seemed weak in skills, in my opinion), but it seems like the Night Elves are once again overpowered.

I just got a new computer yesterday so i will probably get this game after i finish saving up for an xbox, i loved wc2 so from what ive heard this will be good. i suck at strategy though :(

Though I probably won't want to AT or do custom games when I'm on my NE account as I'll be trying to restore the record on that one to anything decent (you can get the worst newbs in all of BattleNet as allies in RT.)

I am friggin LOVING the Night Elves so far. Between the Mountain Giants with their "taunt" abilities and how they can pick up a tree and pummel people with it, and the Warden hero who can cast that badass Avatar of Vengeance who has the best video game voice evar and can raise his slain enemies to fight for him, they are just kicking ass now.

I'm just glad they didn't make the Warden a "hero-killer" as was stated by Gamespot in their previews.

I really liked the Human campaign. Lots of decent story progression there, and a handful of uber-fun missions (even that dreaded secret level was a blast). And the Blood Mage's Phoenix spell is really fucking sweet.

I just beat the Undead Campaign. And I'll admit it. For the last three missions, I cheated. For Mission 6, I tried and failed twice. So I used the invulnerability cheat and cleaned house. Then I just kept using it because I wanted to see the rest of the story. I'll probably go back and beat it the real way, though.

The ending was kind of disappointing. More so than the original. That's all I'll say. For anyone else who's beaten it, is there any bonuses for beating it on Hard, like the original?

it took me like 4 hours to beat the last undead mission because i was dumb and didn't think of a smart intellegent way to handle it for a good long while. i dint need to cheat on any mission though. the undead were always my favorite. faaavorite :O

God damnit. Why don't people understand this?

The ending is SUPPOSED to be disappointing to build up for World of Warcraft. They can't dot huge climaxes all over the storyline.

I'm having choppy game play and slow loads, and my resolution is all the way down. now should i get a new vid card or better processer? or free up hard drive space? any sugestions? or am i just an idiot. probly an idiot.

Processor, if there aren't any actual graphics problems. I tried playing it on my old computer once and the graphics went to the shitter and all the units looked like snowmen. :(

The graphics look great, it's just some times an entire model will disapere on screen while I have it selected or like a units face will leave and just his eyes will be floating. But most of the time I just have realyl choppy, slow play. Especially when I engage in battle, it takes forever to catch up, like I'm lagging online. And really slow load times. It's very annoying.

what are your system specs? graphics card is probaly more important depending on your cpu speed.
