You know. The songs that make you want to cry because of it's beauty or they inspire you.

Imagine by John Lennon and Straight To Hell by The Clash are some powerful songs.

A Perfect Circle - 3 Libras, Thomas

Deftones - Feiticeria, Around the Fur, Digital Bath

and this damn Soilwork song, Distortion Sleep. I don't listen to enough sad bastard music. :/

Famous Blue Raincoat by Leonard Cohen. Also, the Amos cover.

Actually, most of Cohen's early work.

I'm going to have to try and find that Perfect Circle song now.

"Sam Stone" by John Prine

An old ballad from a folk legend. I find it sadly beautiful in terms of lyrical content.

Simon and Garfunkel's "The Boxer" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water" are the first two that come to mind, though they have a few more. :(

Scorpion's "Winds of Change" and Puckett's "Young Girl" come to mind, but they're painfully overplayed in these parts. :/

I've got a lot of these songs 'cause I'm a fucking puss.

Lobo's "Me & You & A Dog Named Boo" gets to me. :eek

America's Unicorn musics. :love :( 8)

Praha by Ephel Duath :(

Anything by Ephel Duath is probably beautiful.

OK, I also say quite a few songs by Devin Townsend are beautiful.

"These Days" by Nico is the most beautiful song ever.

I seem to be digging Aeris' theme as of late, also.

You stole my answer you sum'bitch!

Hmm, let's see... I like Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da by the Beatles... it's a throw back to Life Goes on (the show with Cork (my hero, RIP))

Another one would probably be Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry. It's got funk, George Clinton funk.

Even though he's alive, he is still very much dead to me. That show made him what he was, and he just let it slip away. What a bastard.

I know it's a nerdy thing to say, but in Final Fantasy 7, Red XIII's theme. I think it's called "Valley Of The Falling Star"

That or "Piano Man" by Billy Joel

Memory Garden - Blissful

Lou Reed - Perfect Day

And not the Band Aid version. It's messy and it has none of the simple charm the original has. And Boyzone is in it >:
