John Carpenter's "Prince of Darkness". Scariest movie I ever saw when I was a kid... and it still has an awesome gritty feel to it when you watch it these days.

Watch it with the lights out and with nobody else in the room. I'm sure it'll creep ya out.

Personally I found "Prince of Darkness" to be more of a comedy than a horror movie. I didn't think it was scary at all.

A bunch of my friends were telling me about how scary "Prince of Darkness" was, so I rented it. While I was watching it, I didn't think it was all that scary, it had a little of the John Carpenter cheez-factor to it, and also Egg Chen and Wang from BTILC(bigtroubleinlittlechina) which was a plus.

But when I went to sleep, I had all of these freaky dreams... and so did my friends who recommended it. I think they're something programmed into that movie to freak people out... Proto just transcends it. The television clip especially.

Yeah, there's some laughs in the movie of course... but over all, I think the atomosphere in that movie is fucking outstanding. They even manage to make Alice Cooper look scary...

I also forgot to mention "The Thing". That's definitely another great Carpenter flick that's actually scary. I even plugged my dvd player in wrong once so I got to watch it in black & white and it was even more fucked up!

The Omen movies used to really get to me as a kid. I haven't watched them in years though.

I loved the first Omen. The secound one fucking sucked. I didn't see the third one. And the fourth one was one of the worst things I've ever watched.

Also has some really good special effects and one of the best endings ever.

Rongi, omen 2 didn't suck. It had a different style than the first one but it had to because it was more focused on damien realizing who he is. It wasn't bad at all.

I thought it was a ton creepier though when he was an evil little kid :/. I mean it did develop Damien's character, it just didn't scare me as much as the first one.

But the 4th one was horrid. There was no reason why it should have even been made

I just bought Children of the Corn for 6 bucks on DVD brand new. It's not really scary, but it is fun to watch.

"The Thing" was DEFINITELY scarier than "Prince of Darkness".

Damn, I was about to mention The Thing. The scene with the blood transfusion popping out and Palmer mutating was freaky.

Another scary movie to add: Evil Dead 1. Yea, I know, some might not find it that scary, but the first time watching it, there were moments that creeped me out.

I am not joking. I am not trying to illicit some type of humorous response. I honestly truly belive that Jawbreaker is the scariest movie of all time. That girl is the single most terrifying creature ever concieved in fact and fantasy. I cannot beleive it is considered a comedy.

The Ring! AHHHH! I watched it in a cheap theater twice, scared the pissantery out of me both times. My friend watched it with a bunch of people, while drunk and always makes fun of me for being scared by it. Drinking+Creepy Movie=No Creepiness.
Cradle of Fear is just scary as hell too. :lol

"Ringu", the japanese original-version of "The Ring" is by far the movie that scared me the most, and I've been a horror-fan for many years
