Yeah the episodes are definately better but I enjoyed the movie. It wasn't extremely clever or anything but I found myself laughing quite a bit.
Only missing episode 5 of the 3rd season on my computer now. What a hard drive hog. Release the 3rd and 4th season dvd already bob and david!!!

I have it saved on my HD.. 378 mb, rather large to host it anywhere but you can find it on kazaa or possibly other p2p clients.

I watched the first half hour and thought it was utter shit. Truly disappointing, since all they had to do was adapt it properly from the show with changing a bunch of shit, which they did, to do it right.

Well watching only a half hour doesn't really give it much of a chance now does it? Especially since you missed the fat kid fighting scene :(
For what it is, it's good. It's basically what I would expect from a movie about Ronnie Dobbs.

Apparently there's a cut of the film that is better.
Yeah, they (bob, david, the rest of the cast of Mr Show) pretty much think the movie sucks. :( It does, compared to the show. If I saw it not knowing what Mr Show was or without ever seeing an episode of Mr Show I would think it was really good, probably. It seems like ever since the show ended they have been trying to make something that has mass appeal, like a dumbed-down version of their TV show. They have good intentions, trying to get their sensibility out there and trying to get everybody else into what they are about, but for the people who are their fans and allready get it its just kind of... for lack of a better word, annoying.
The movie does have some really great moments though. They should cut it down to 27 minutes and release it as a "very special Mr Show episode" or something.

The reason it wasn't released is because there were two cuts of the film. Someone who had more power than them (I think the movie's producer, or something, I dunno) wanted to release a cut of the movie that Bob and David didn't like, and they had another cut of the movie they thought was less shitty. They still said both cuts aren't very good though, so, meh.

Oh well, I still enjoyed the movie. Of course it isn't the as good as Mr. Show itself but that completely goes without saying. I didn't expect it to be.
It was worth watching

Well, let's all hope that 'Hooray for America' works out. Just as long as Mr. Show gets its due.
And speaking of which, does anybody know why HBO chickened out after four seasons? Why did it go? It was getting fucking brilliant at the end.
