The previous Spiderman movie was fucking awesome, it was a lot better than I thought it be. It was probably the best movie I saw all last year (I think it was last year). They had just better put more J. Jonah Jameson in the next one.

Agreed, doctor octopus and green goblins are classics. Venom's a good character but would make for a boring movie villain if he were alone :/

In the first spiderman movie the goblins movments seemed constricted by his metal suit. i dont thing dock oc cant be like that cuz he has those wicked tentacles so hes gonna be able to move around alot better than the gob.

Venom is favorite spidey vilain ( mainly because I wasn't born in the 50's and all...) and I think they will definately give him a spot in the movies but:

- they have to pay homage to the classic, like come on Doc Oc and Goblin, and maybe they'll try something with the Chameleon, or Electro (nononono!!), Rhino, Misterio or others... But I think Doc Oc deserves this one

- Venom's background story is waaaaaaaaaay more complicated and long than those two guys. Goblin: Went mad with green gas. Doc Oc: Just some Scientist that is mad (for not getting funding for his lab if I recal). Venom is Eddie Brock and the Alien costume, and they both have a long past that brings thems to Venom.

but you all knew that. I think they'll have to find Venom another bg, because its too long for the movies. I'm curious to see how he will look though ( if he ever does look like anything).

But I don't want to see a Carnage movie. ever

I'm a fan of Venom and his story. Probably more so than any other villain in Spider-Man (but keep in mind, I never read the comics).

The problem with him is that his story is so complex, it wouldn't fit into just one movie, and couldn't be the main focus until Venom came to be. They'd need like a trilogy for the whole thing, maybe more if they added Carnage.

But I'd still love to see him one day. And I know they can do it right. If they can make Nightcrawler BAMF!, then they can make Venom look good.

Making Nightcrawler "bamph!" is a shitload easier than making Venom do what he can do. I definitely don't think now would be a good time to do Venom... 3D still has a long way to go before it would be worth trying to do Venom right.

Doc Ock was always my favorite Spiderman enemy, so this next movie could either be really good or infuriatingly bad.

bleh, Tobey is still young. He can make a lot of spidey movies. Then they'll just replace him with some younger actor and we can tell our kids how spidey was so great back when Tobey was Spider-Man and how they have ruined it now with all the high-tech stuff and action and stuff.

I believe I read that Tobey Maguire was signed on to do one more Spider-man movie.

I'd like to see them do a third one and stop there. I don't want to see this get worn out and go downhill like the Batman franchise. If either Raimi or Maguire leave, it's time to let the thing die gracefully.

I think Venom could be done. His story couldn't be handled entirely and would have to be pretty much re-written, unless they'd handle the cartoon's approach... where the Secret Wars were ignored, and the Venom symbiont came along on a space shuttle. That could be doable.

The CGI, however, would probably be cack. I think. I always loved Venom's malformed, bloated look by the artist who ironically hated the character. Was it Mark Texeira? Someone on here told me once, but I forgot.

Doc Ock, meh... I want to see Hobgoblin. He was always my favorite villain, mainly when he became demonic. Even though he's a Green Goblin recolor, but they could make him from scratch since they already made Green Goblin look so shitty.

I guess I'm one of the few people who thought Gobby looked alright. I mean, yeah, it wasn't the best ever, but it was very realistic in why it looked the way it did.

And I really think Raimi's not the guy who'd do Venom unless he knew it could be done. So if he ever does show up, I have a lot of confidence that it'd look kickass. And yeah, I kinda figured they'd used the cartoon's approach, rather than involving the Secret Wars.

And as long as we're talking about villains we'd wanna see: Scorpion and Shocker. I love them.

Maybe there'll be a hint as to who will be the next villain in SM2. Unless I read it wrong, there was such a hint in the first movie (look at Jameson's TV when Peter brings him some photos. There's footage of an octopus from some movie, not to mention his mention in the teaser).

I just hope that we get to see more inside jokes and cameos in the next one, and i hope Doctor Strange makes some sort of appearance.

Venom would kick ass, but when cgi can make him look cool, Doc conners was mentioned in the first movie, so maybe he will be in the next one (spidy 3).
