I've been finding myself with Beastie Boys songs stuck in my head an awful lot lately, so I decided to go out and buy their Anthology collection. I fucking LOVE it. I can't believe I never got into these guys before. Now I need to go out and buy the actual albums.

The Beastie Boys are fantastic, just because they are white rappers that rap white.

The Anthology does kick ass. It's worth it just for Body Movin

My favorite by them is Hello Nasty

When I first bought 'in sound from way out' few years back, i put it in the 6 disc changer of my car. Never took it out ever since, I listen to it constantly. It's a disc containing all instrumental songs from every one of their cd.

The best Beastie Boys song ever? GIRLS!!!

The best thing on the Anthology is their cover of Bennie and the Jets. :)

I own the 5 studio albums. In order of greatness:

1. Paul's Boutique
2. Hello Nasty
3. Licensed to Ill
4. Check Your Head
5. Ill Communication

Maybe I'm alone in thinking this, but Ill Communication blows. In a 60 minute album, 20 minutes are instrumental. This wouldn't be bad if the instrumentals were good, like on Hello Nasty. But they aren't.

sabrosa is great. flute loop isn't an instrumental, but it is great and mostly instrumental. Bodhisattva Vow is great too.

Isn't it fantastic? I love Egg Man and Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun.

I still don't understand how "Fight For Your Right (To Party)" ended up being probably their most well known song, more or less like their mainstream breakthrough, when it's the worst song on "Licencse To Ill". No accountin' for the tastes of the general masses, I guess. :/

Paul's Botique rocks :o

But definatly don't forgot to get Hello Nasty, that's my favorite one. It's really really weird :o

Hello Nasty is kinda weird. But I personally enjoy weird music. Maybe that's why I liked it so much...

I only say it's really weird because of that song "Dr. Lee PHD", it doesn't even fit in with the rest of the album :(

I wasn't referring to the Pixies and the Beastie Boys when I said I like weird music.

And anyways, at times, the Pixies are extremely weird. And the Beastie Boys got kinda weird from Check Your Head on. So shut the fuck up you stupid, arrogant prick. I hope you die.

Here Here. You can't be right around Tenebaum. If you deny anything he likes, you get; Movies "are you blind! This movie was outstanding you fucking moron!" Music "Are you deaf, this band/album is perfection you flaming idiot!" And he just bashes everyone else's opinions with no actual argument other than we are complete and utter idiots and he is in the right. Everything he likes is a masterpeice, apparently. :rolleyes
