I looked at the think and saw the trailer. The actions seens look pretty damn good, but I don't like the idea of the sequel.

It's not a sequel. It's the final part of a trilogy.

Yeah, Desperado was a sequel itself, so why would anyone who liked that movie have a problem with this?

And besides, it's got Johnny Depp AND Willem Dafoe this time around. It could very well end up the best of the three.

What movie was the first?

I loved Desperado, and I noticed the guy with the bazooka banjo case is back. So I'm excited about this movie.

El Mariachi was the first.

I've never seen El Mariachi but I was under the impression Desperado wasn't really a sequel, but more like a remake, but with a budget. And I didn't think the new one was a sequel to Desperado, but more like another story containing the same characters and themes, not necesarily following the first chronologically.

But I think I might be wrong on all those things, and I should go shut up and die. :/

In a weird sort of way, some people do look at Desperado as a remake with a bigger budget, but it actually does continue the story of the first film, since you do see the events leading up to his hand getting fucked up in the first film.

This is the first movie in a while that is guaranteed NOT to suck.

After a whole summer of let downs and mushrooms, it will finally ALL be worthwile.

I don't know what kind of shite you've been seeing this summer, but I thought it was all fantastic except for "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen".

It's still a sequel to desperado, even though el mariachi was the first one.

And why the fuck would anyone "not like the idea of the sequel"? If you liked desperado, this one will have the same style action along with some great actors.
