CNN has a better headline: "Little robots in your pants" (http://edition.cnn.com/2003/TECH/ptech/07/18/popsci.nantech.pants/)

I know this isn't the reading forum, but I'd like to suggest you try Michael Crichton's book Prey. While the author does skew the facts a bit for the sake of his plot, a lot of what he alludes to is either possible now or will be in the near future and, given the wrong motivation and/or direction, can amount to some pretty scarey consequences. Crichton's main theme seems to be caution and responsibility ... as in Jurraisic Park.

Here's a link to a book review that probably does a lot better at explaining the plot than I just did:

Are you suggesting the world is going to come to an end b/c my pants won't stain anymore?

If Monica Lewinski's dress had robots in them, history would have been irrevocably changed! :eek Think of the implications. :love

Does this mean I can cause my Jeep to rollover, land in the backyard of the party and still have all the foxy ladies telling me, "Nice Pants"?

Stain-free underwear. There are a lot of forum members here that could benefit from them; like Vinth, for instance.

Vinth could be skid-free! :tear

In re. to vinth: perhaps if RoG put this nano technology onto his website, he could all together become "vinth-free"... :conspiracy
