What the fuck are you talking about? You think I like Captain Beefheart so that I can prove to everyone that my music tastes are "out there?" Well then you're wrong. I like Captain Beefheart because he's insane and the music he makes is creative, interesting, and often amusing (same goes for Zappa by the way). As for comparing Trout Mask Replica to Tales of Topographic Oceans...you're so incredibly wrong it's scary. Trout Mask Replica and Tales of Topographic Oceans sound absolutely nothing alike. And there's also the part about Trout Mask Replica not sucking...

You have to understand the guy who wrote this doesen't really listen to music, he just judges the music by the people who stereotypically listen to it. Trashing stuff like Bitches Brew and calling John Coltrane "Musical Masterbation." Saying the Dead were always out of tune. I garauntee this guy wouldn't know if a band was in or out of tune.

I think I read under one of his posts too saying that all live albums suck. He probably says this because every concert hes ever been to hes gotten his ass kicked, and whenever he hears a live recording he gets flashbacks. I follow a strict policy that if a band isn't good live, they aren't good AT ALL.
