Man, I loved earthbound... a lot... like, way more than I really should have.
Point is, I heard somewhere that the sequel is coming out for the GBA. Anybody else an earthbound fan? Maybe heard about the new game?

The sequel came out for the 64DD in Japan, and never made it here.

It seems Earthbound isn't considered a profitable title here in the US and/or Europe, despite the petitions and support for the series. So in other words, I don't know what's in store for Earthbound, but a new title on GBA sounds just like a rumor.

Personally, I'd much rather have them rerelease Earthbound 3 on Gamecube (like they did with Ocarina of Time's second quest).

I just want them to make a brand new one sometime. The petition from starmen.net might help.

That game was the best for the SNES, but I never beat it. The last form of your bastard, fat-ass neighbor kept kicking the shit out of me. Now I have to play through it again on an emulator.

Mother 3 was never released in Japan, it was only about 70% complete.

Earthbound? A sequel, or a remake? In the latter's case, I'll stick to my ROM. In the former's case, well, I got a GBA emulator anyway ::shrugs::

Ness isn't that great in smash brothers or melee...

In Smash Brothers, the AI could use him like a motherfucker...

But all the characters seemed to get downgraded in Melee, including Ness... (the PK flash is useless) but being able to control the direction of your attacks is always cool.

Yes, that certainly has something to do with this thread.
