living in dorms SUCKS AsS. People get all drunk and break shit and everybody has to pay for it. Just remember that doors can cost upwards of $1200 to be installed. Fires extinguishers cost $60 to refill, and light fixture repairs can be in the $500 range to hire electricians.

i corrupted my first dorm roommate. she was this little blonde from rural ohio who listened to country and never drank alcohol. when i left college to take care of my sick mum, she took over my role. i went to visit her and she was listening to jane's addiction and had beer in the mini-fridge.

I actually liked living in the dorms, despite the fact that I am not a drinker or a party goer I had some good times there. I made alot of friends that I never would have made had I not lived with them in the dorms.


I swear I saw so many girls from small towns, who never drank and even said they didnt like to drink, become total drunkards and sluts in like the first week. I love how they pretend to have morals when they first come to college, its cute.

I know what you mean. I live in Army barracks and the same shit happpens every weekend. Worst of all theres always someone who gets arrested for drunk driving, which is a big no-no. That just gives our command a big reason to punish everyone.

Evil Robot is right about paying for stuff. The first night I was in the dorms my freshman year, somebody broke the glass door to the lounge and the floor had to pay like $300. Granted, that's like five bucks a person, but still.

In addition, we lived on the tenth floor of a high-rise dorm. We got charged for throwing a chair out of the lounge window, which didn't have a fucking screen all year even though it was supposed to, and we got charged when someone threw a computer out the window. Cause it damaged the roof the of the building it landed on. Those bastards couldn't even prove it was us, even though it was us, but they charged us anyway.

But the thing flying out of windows the most often, besides urine, was glass liquor bottles. We made a game out of it. We would throw glass bottles on the roof of the building below us and try not to break them. By the time the second semester was over, the roof of that building was covered in glass bottles, There must have been at least 50 bottles of Captain Morgan there alone, and we all fucking hate rum.
