I think Anathema's "Serenades" is topping my list. I am in love with this cd. There's some nice growling of all sorts of emotional kind of stuff accompanied with slow, doomy music, and it all sounds good, but three tracks in particular are my favorites. One's called Sweet Tears, that one's got a good lyrical scheme to it, and it sounds fantastically emotional and atmospheric. Then there's one with this chick Ruth singing in what appears to be french, and she has one of the sweetest, most innocent and fragile sounding voices i have ever heard. Then, for the big finalé, there is a twenty-three minute track of organ ambience, which you can imagine millions of scenes to accompany to. God, this album is incredible. And probably the biggest steal of my life at only ten bucks. Good god, who prices cds nowadays?
Whoops, long answer to a short question. Anyway, anyone else got one that they just can't seem to put down lately?

I'd have to say mars volta too. I think the reason is that there are so many good layers to the songs that I find something new each time I listen to it.
