I don't know if there is a thread like this already cause the search function isn't working, but I checked at least 4 pages, and didn't find anything.
I rented Bowling for Colombine yesterday, and it has to be the best documentary I have ever seen. Michael Moore is awesome, he just tells the truth, and people get pissed off. It really got me thinking about how fucked up America is by all of the gun violence and killing here.
Did anyone else see this?

I saw it in theaters a couple months back, great film. Got the DVD, haven't had time to watch it.

I've heard that a lot of the "truth" he shares in that movie was just made up shit he pulled from his ass. I haven't seen the film myself yet, so I can't say either way.

Hes full of shit and he only shows what supports his case. He twists the truth and intimidates people. His documentary is shit and hes a smelly fat fuck not worth a tenth of the praise he gets.
I would say more but honestly anyone who does even a couple minutes of research can discover what a total pile of shit his "facts' are and how badly he misrepresents the side of the gun supporters.

Fact or Fiction? (http://www.hardylaw.net/Truth_About_Bowling.html)
The film is probably 75% bullshit or "selective" reporting. A nice film to watch, due to just the funny moments. He's also an extremely hypocritical and censorship-oriented person, both inside and outside the film.

He wrote a book criticizing stupid white men.
Wow. :confused

Some of his angles on the subject make him look like he is right, but he is kinda wrong. Some of the people that he comes up to are in a hurry or something, and he wants a long converstation, but they ride away, and he looks like he is right.I enjoyed watching the movie though. Some of the stuff was exaggerated though. :/ I didn't like how it was put together though. Some parts were talking about one subject, then the next minute, it was a whole different subject. Then it went back to the thing he was talking about in the beggining.
I can see how you say he is wrong, and I think he is too. I just thought the movie was a good watch though.

I'll admit that his data is often exaggerated, but the assault upon the film is likewise exaggerated. I've gone through that entire diatribe indicting him of...whatever, and a lot of it is petty, minor, and doesn't change the crux or the substance of his argument (now, the question then is should a true, er, "documentarian" ???, actually HAVE an argument....maybe not).

I disagree. Some of his most convincing points and critical assertations in the movie were based upon lies or gross exaggerations. Every part of that movie was in one way falsified, exaggerated, or severely edited in relation to reality. The fact that you claim they are "minor" (which they aren't) removes any credibility one may have of him. The fact that he is lying on such subtle fronts only makes you wonder what he did to the big picture.

Ain't it nice to know that both liberals and conservatives can fuck up everything just to make a serious issue a complete farce? ;)

Wow. Royal doesn't like someone or is displeased with what someones's said?
I'm at a loss for words. :rolleyes
Seriously why even bother Royal. I submit my opinion that you just make a sig that says, "I hate you, and I hate this god damn board, and I hate everything that you like, and yunno what, you're stupid" and for your actual posts just use a :posh

Such as? Lets discuss these things on their merit, rather than some lame infatuation (or frustration) over his popularity....

He made a big picture, open to multiple forms of scrutiny. I think that makes him pretty damn transparent in terms of the "big picture."
You can question my credibility all you like, but when you actually start discussing some flaws, maybe I'll actually grant you your own....
