this is to the reviewier, but i expect other responses as well. you have insulted my people, those people are the townfolk of rcr! i made an account just so i could say this to you. YOU ARE THE LONE REVIEWER!!! rcr was and still is by far one of the best games of all times! you had mentioned that some people would call this game an rpg, but its not. well your right there, it isn't. but it kinda is. look, the point is that you prolly play this game on an emu right? you didnt have the feeling, you weren't there! you and your new games dwarf the old kings ill say. i guess what im trying to say is, you'd have to be there to truly enjoy the game. (where there is in the past) i understand how its hard for you to say that game is good, but come on... say it! no really! SAY IT! - gln

I don't believe the reviewer actually said it sucked, just that it was overrated.

I've only played the game on emulator, which taints my opinion, but I thought he was right. Once I finally got past the gates to River City High, I was expecting a much longer game. The levelling up and seeking out bosses one by one (and in the correct order too, I believe) drove me nuts. It's a good game, but I think there was definitely room for improvement. Then again, it was one of the first of its kind.

This game is only completely enjoyable as a kid with a friend. My cousin and i used to waste summer days playing this, and it was the best game ever. Fatty, pick a girl up off the street, wine her, dine her, and go home, and play River City Ransom, it's the formula for romance! :love
