I think he's perfect for the part. He always plays great villains, and that's who I think of when I think of awesome bad guys.

This one is my favorite of the series and I'm worried it's going to be ruined, either by the filmmakers or the fans. :/

There are a lot of people who haven't read book three, so I want to be careful that this one doens't get ruined.

I think they've done a great job of casting the series so far overall...*all* of the actors seem to fit their roles perfectly. So though I agree, Gary Oldman would never have come to mind if I was thinking of an actor to play Sirius Black, but I have the utmost faith in the movie makers. :)

I was pissed off when I heard that too, but he was playing Peeves, who's one character that can be cut without the series being compromised :(
I was still pissed off, they filmed scenes with him, I wish they'd put them on the fucking DVDs.
