YES! With Christopher Nolan (Memento) directing and Christian Bale (American Psycho) as Batman, this movie might just kick some serious ass and put DC Comics back on the movie map!

They couldn't have picked a better actor to play Batman this time around. With the addition of a competant director(goodbye bat-nipples), this could be the best batman film of them all.

But the big question is, will John Goodman be playing King Tut?

Well, I don't think christian bale is that great, but he's certainly a lot better than colin farrel and the others they were considering.
And I don't think anyone can make a better batman movie than tim burton.

I hope they go back to the old-school Batmobile. Enough with this fancy shit. >:

Isn't the Batmobile in the comics just a black souped-up Lamborghini with no markings or such?

Don't get me wrong, I love Tim Burton's Batman films. But let's face it. He never read the comics. He doesn't respect the comics. So I'd have to say that it's quite likely someone will come along and do a better job.

Ditto.
I'd like to see a tiny bit of CGI used in this to make Batman appear more menacing and bat-like in the dark and shadowy scenes. It's such an awesome feature of the character that it would be dissapointing if they didn't take advantage of CGI to incorporate it.

FUCK that. I don't want to see ANY CGI stuff in the movie.

Not even for slight manipulation of the cape? In darkness, you wouldn't even be able to tell. :( Christ, Spider-man used a ton of CGI that didn't look half-bad in bright daylight scenes.
Unless they just used custom capes for certain scenes.

Well, it's not the CGI itself that bothers me, I just think it would be kind of cheesy if they manipulated the cape like that. I thought he looked just FINE in the first two Tim Burton movies.

I'm pretty sure he said he read the "dark knight returns" ones to get a feel of the character. Anyway, my initial doubt was strengthened quite a bit when I found out that the writer of the 2 BLADE MOVIES IS WRITING IT.

Superman had four movies, the last killed the series.
Batman has four movies, the last should kill the series.
It'll be pretty damn hard to forgive those last two.
