How old is your oldest piece of clothing that you simply can't let go of? Is it a proper retro period item like a skinny tie or WHAM t-shirt that would cause you to get your ass pummeled on if you wore it today?

I think my oldest is a DIO concert tee from 1983.

I've got two skinny ties:
the classic black
the miami vice dayglow baby-blue.
I've got two old metallica concert shirts.
A t-shirt from the Toledo Zoo Panda exhibit (i think that one's 85 or 88) that's totally badass, I wear it all the time.
Numerous tees from family vacations: my fave being the one from Fort Bliss, El Paso Texas that has an X made out of two missiles and says "U.S. Army Air Artillery." that one probably dates to about 86.
I've also got some hypercolor T-shirts.
unfortunately, I no longer have any Z. Cavaricci or Skidz. I would rock those suckas out daily (well, maybe not)

But the best one I've seen, was a T-shirt of a friend of mine from the Beastie Boys, Run-DMC concert.

My oldest is a blue, long sleeved, sharp collared shirt from 1972.... Even though I was born in 86.

Aardvark's Odd Ark

Category: Clothing

Location: West Hollywood
Address: 7579 Melrose Ave., West Hollywood, CA, USA

Phone: 323/655-6769

Aardvark's Odd Ark was one of the first vintage clothing stores on Melrose. Over 20 years later, it is still going strong, with an incredible array of retro, funky, and just plain crazy clothes.

The fact that I live in a small town in Illinois doesn't make me care.

My oldest? I can't wear it anymore, lest it crumble into dust, but it's still my favorite and has found a place on my wall of fame:

A tour shirt from an Iron Maiden concert, 1984.

Fucking sweet. I'd kill to get some Maiden T-shirts.
