Lost Book of the Old Testament?

The Book of Enoch. This is a book that was conveniently "edited out" of the Bible we know today, because the Bible we know today originated in the Middle Ages, and religion at that time was pretty much the equivalent of a paranormal Mafia, saying that if you didn't pay them, you got punished for all eternity.

The reason this was edited out was because it dealt with knowledge about angels, demons, and magic. It showed Satan as a servant of God, and not It's enemy, which would destroy their invention of Hell as a scare tactic to get money.

each version of the Bible that we have today has been pieced together from various books and scriptures. what you see is never all that there is. one would think that for someone who knows so much about Christianity, you would have already understood this.

I wouldn't consider the Vulgate made in the middle ages, since it was finished sometime in the 400s. Some people might call that medieval, but most would consider it classical. Unless you were talking about the King James bible, which was written AFTER the middle ages.

The post-middle? There's also books in the mormon bible that aren't in the protestant one, and lots of missing(or added) verses between them all.

The book of mormon was written less than 200 years ago by a man named Joseph Smith. I don't think that counts as a missing book.

The book of Enoch was one of the books written during the Roman period in Judea, or a little before... LONG after the five books of Moses had come to be considered holy and canonical. These later books were called the Pseudopigraph* because their authors pretended that their books had been written by biblical figures. The Rabbis of that time never considered the books holy, and never included them in the Hebrew Bible. There are at least two other books written for Enoch, and all were written centuries after his life span. There was a point when these apocolyptic stories had some influence, and might have made an impact on the New Testament, but they've never been meaningful to Judaism. There are actually a few books that aren't considered holy that were pretty influential on Jews, but this isn't one of them. The "lost book" theory is mainly popular amongst the Jews for Jesus jet set.

* I could be mistaken, and the Book of Henoh (Enoch) might be part of the Apocrypha instead. Also - Another book that deals with the supernatural after world is the Book of Jasher.

Eye Tie; You hush now. The current books of the bible were chosen Divinely and inlcude in tot all those that were originally Divinly inspired. The ones HE did not allow to make the cut were all written without Divine guidfance and are therefore false.
