Check it out y'all

Gord Lacey (who is working on the DVD set) was cool enough to actually drop by my board and answer a question about the DVD set, so they ARE listening to fan's input. I suggest you fill out the survey and register at the message board if you wanna ask them questions about the set.

How are people even still getting to that message board? That's been banned and locked down for almost 2 years now.

I know they still show episodes late at night on Comedy Central sometimes. I can't wait for it to come out.

To be honest, I don't care THAT much. I've seen every episode other and over for the past 5-7 years on Comedy Central. They're burned into my memory. So they'd have to have some really nice features to make me buy the DVDs.

James pretty much nailed it. They used to play Kids in the Hall constantly on Comedy Central and after a while it got pretty redundant, much like the good SNL skits they do over and over (i.e "oops I crapped my pants").

I need to conserve my DVD money for UCB and SWC 2 anyway. :)

I think the dvds are going to be well worth it as they seem to be taking their time with it and doing it right. I bet the bonus features wil be worth it alone.

Well, these shows WILL be the HBO-aired versions, which are longer and uncensored. So there's that. Plus the possibility of every episode having audio commentary.

Did you guys even go to the site and fill out the survey? Hell, post on their message board and tell them what you'd want to see on the DVD to get you to buy it. Because they're reading what the fans want, and responding to it. Hell, the fact that Gord came to MY crappy message board to answer a question proves that.

This should be cool. I never really got the chance to watch these shows since they never aired here, but I love what I've been able to download. :love Running Faggot :love

Same Guys, New Dresses (documentary DVD) was pretty boring, though.

Excellent, I must have this, I'm sick of having to stay up to watch 2 episodes. The audio commentary would be great.

I hate how comedy central overplays things, like Reno 911 (which is a great show nevertheless) and their stupid Roast they have every other year.

Update: Season 2 is coming out. Check kidsinthehall.com for coverart.

The sesaon 1 set was awesome. Long, uncensored episodes (there was some great shit that was cut from comedy central), interesting documentary, old footage of them before they had a show (when Kevin McDonald was fat :eek), and fun, but short audio commentaries (only on the two best-of season 1 episodes included as extras).

I'm kind of wondering what the season 2 set will have in the way of extras. From what I remember the season 1 set's documentary mostly only covered their begingings and their first season, so maybe there will be one for this set. I suspect 2 best-of episodes with audio commentary will be included (though I wish they were on every episode, but they all seem pretty busy and it could be hard to get them all in a room together for all the episodes... Scott showed up late on the first one set).

I can't wait because season 2 is way awesome.

They are doing the same thing they did with the first set: It's going to come out a few months early on kidsinthehall.com, then eventually on aande.com and comedycentral.com. It will be sold at full SRP, so it'll be expensive. Then around November it will come out in stores and it'll be marked down between 40-50 bucks.

My Bride got me season one for our anniversary. I am excited but my horrible adult life probably does not allow me to give it the attention it deserves until July.
