Are there any games or series that you were quite fond of? Are there any signs that there will be a sequel to it?

I was just listening to Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones, and it made me think of Twisted Metal: Black. And then I started thinking of how I haven't heard any confirmation of another TMB game. And now I want one. :(

So yeah, list any games that you either haven't heard any confirmation on, or don't see any chance of happening. Saying something "I want a sequel to Starcraft" is stupid, because you know that they're going to make it, whether they've announced it or not. I'm talking about things where there is little to no hope.

One game I don't want to see a sequel to is the light gun Resident Evil games. Good god did Survivor blow cock. Why the fuck did they think it would be a good idea to make a 'sequel' to that?

I'd like to see another 2D BOF game. Dragon Quarter sucked :(.

And there needs to be a sequel to Threads of Fate. That game fucking ruled >:

And a Shenmue 3 would be rad :love

Megaman and Bass is NOT THE SEQUEL. It's just a spin off of the main series like Power Battle or somthin'. If they were going to make a Megaman 9, they would have called it Megaman 9. They've done that with the past 8 games and their not about to stop now.

Rock n Roll Racing needs a sequel.

Eternal Darkness also needs a sequel even if it isn't directly related.

I'd either like to see Grim Fandango remade with alot more to it, new puzzles and rad new graphics, or a sequel. I know it's probably not possible to create one for it, considering how it ended, but since this is a fantasy thread then I'll say that.

I can't quite get my head around an eternal darkness sequel, either. If the plot was totally unrelated to the originals and just borrowed the sanity system, then I'd be all for it. I still shudder whenever someone considers putting it on again though, after I completed it three fucking times for the "good ending."

I heard on Gamespot that they're working on a Fallout action RPG a la Diablo. And I'm pretty sure most if not all of the original dev team is on the job so whatever they do should be good.

I want Total Annihilation 2. We've been waiting for it ever since TA: Kingdoms came out and sucked total ass. :tear

YES! >: Seriously, did some branch of Blizzard just decide to all simultaneously go retarded? I haven't heard anyone say they'd prefer this generic FPS over a true RTS sequel.

Especially since Brood War had a very open and interesting ending.

i like starcraft a lot. but i don't want it to be all done up like wc3 is. :/ i'll still like to play sc way after wc3 irritates me to death. if blizzard or anyone can make a real sequel that's better than the original, then i will wait for as long as it takes. :o

I have nothing against a side story SC FPS game - provided it doesn't try to come off like it's supposed to be a sequel and provided it is done right, which it doesn't appear to be. If I recall correctly, SC: Ghost won't even support multiplayer... wtf is the point? A lot of games I'd love to see sequels for I'm kinda glad there aren't sequels for - they'd probably gay it up and tarnish the original for me.

You mean a TMNT in the arcades, or just one that follows the game mechanics of TMNT2? Because they did that twice (TMNT3: The Manhattan Project and TMNT4: Turtles in Time). Granted, another one featuring the old characters like Bebop and Rocksteady would be really fricking cool.

I really want them to make a sequel to Earthbound. Well, to make, finish, and release the damned thing. Making half of the game and then stopping just doesn't cut it.

Well Mother 3 (or Earthbound 2) IS in the making, and will be released on the GBA. I just hope it comes to the US, along with the Earthbound/Mother 1 2-pak

I've heard that they're pretty much done translating the Mother 1/2 pack, and it'll be on the GBA by next year. And they damned well better bring Mother 3 to the US... otherwise I'll sit around and mope, I will.

Well, they are making Mother 3 for GBA, and it'll have the same style of graphics (but improved) that Earthbound/Mother 2 had.

That's not entirely acurate. The two main reasons they stopped making it are: They kept having problems transfering the game into 3D; and Nintendo had a whole new system coming out the next year (Gamecube). They knew as well as we do that there are millions of people wanting to see a Mother 3--they just never got around to it.
