I'm impressed although the first movie sucked. Milla looks so hot cocking that shotgun.

The only good thing about the first movie was the ending where we learn the one guy is going to turn into the NEMESIS. Also the final end scene where the street is littered with emergency vehicles and trash.

Um hello? Milla Jovovich in that tiny little dress? And naked at the beginning and end of the movie?
I really enjoyed the first movie, it blew away my expectations. I was hoping this trailer would be new and not just the same old teaser.

Milla Jovovovovovovich looks like a ten year old boy, and not in the good way.
The first movie was a pathetic load of shit, and I expect no less (more?) from a sequel that tries desperately to appeal to fans to make up for how much the first movie sucked.

Yep. I really enjoyed the first movie too. Easily my favorite video game movie and I've always liked Milla a lot.

Nah. See, I like Resident Evil, which is why I don't like this movie. There's nothing great about a movie that takes away the elements that made the games so popular and creepy, and is filled with stupid zombies who fall on top of people and gently scratch them.
Not to mention I despise Michelle Rodriguez, and I hope she dies in a plane crash.

Dude, if there was ONE thing I liked about that movie better than Milla Jovovich, it's Michelle Rodriguez.
No wonder girls don't like you.

No, I'm sorry but michelle rodriguez is a fucking awful actress normally, but when she's a PATHETIC rip off of vasquez from aliens, she's like twenty times worse.

Milla isn't a bad actor, but she needs some refinement in her work. I don't get what the big deal is over seeing her M&Ms, because I am not sexually attracted to her at all.
Rodriguez is a pug-faced hack of an actress, whose motivation for the film was apparently, "Act like you just took a bunch of Carnation Instant Bitch." That also seems to be her motivation for every role she's ever been in.
The theme for the Resident Evil games has always been dark and creepy, with a lot of detail and ambience. That's why the games worked. The setting for the film was a "mansion" (made up of an outdoor hallway and a bedroom), and an underground lab that's all bright and shiny.
The film, as a whole, wasn't the worst. But when you tag it as being an adaptation (or in this case, a prequel, though there already was a prequel being made for the games) to a video game series, there's a lot of needless changes that wrecked it. But if it wasn't an RE film, it would just be called "Aliens, but with Zombies."

Haha, to be honest I've never even played the games. But I enjoyed the movie.
Also, I find Michelle Rodriguez to be insanely attractive. She's not a great actress, I'll grant you that, because she always plays the same character. But it's a character I like.
Zomboid, she may have been a bad "ripoff" of Vasquez, but when you really think about it ALL of the soldiers in that movie were "ripoffs" of different marines from Aliens (some more than others, but all the archetypes are there...hell you even have the Burke/traitor guy who is with them). I don't really think of it as a ripoff so much as an homage, personally.

Yes Milla is hot, Yes the movie was raped because it didn't follow the video game story. No video game characters none of the original monsters and most horribly there was very little time spent in the mansion. Not to mention the addition of the computer based A.I (Red Queen) upset me greatly, upset me because it was fucking stupid.

I agree with Snatch, finding out the one guy was going to turn into Nemesis was just cool. The movie wasn't great, or anything. But I was entertained, which is rare for me nowadays.

The first movie was okay. It was the best video game movie, though. The movie itself is just...okay. It's not really bad but it's not really good either; it's just okay.
I'll watch this next one for the hell of it, but I don't have very many expectations.

For gods sake, you complain that it didnt follow the game, that would be boring. Hence why we have the classic Mario bros. The Movie.

And what a masterpiece the Mario Bros. Movie turned out to be.
As much as I love the vg series, I'm not up for another Resident Evil movie :(
I'd love to see a Zelda movie... someday.

There would be a Zero Wing movie sooner than a Zelda movie.
And Super Mario Bros. was a masterpeice, way better than movies like Shawshank Redemption and Seven Samurai

A Zelda movie makes sense, since movie adaptations fuck up the story of the games, and the Zelda series already did that on its own by having no continuity.
If they ever made a Zelda movie, it should be an anime based on Link to the Past.

Well, you can think of it as an homage, but as a fan of the games and alien movies, I was just fucking annoyed when I saw it. I was expecting something related to the games but only saw an unoriginal piece of shit. Worst thing is, aliens isn't the only movie it blatantly rips off.

Based on the trailer and the end of the first one, I think this one could have some promise.
As long as they ditch the AI Red Queen type stuff and just stick with a zombie blasting shoot em up, it should be ok. Less lasers and computers, more shotguns and ruined corpses.
And I'm with everybody who says Michelle Rodriguez sucks. Her "Tough girl with ATTITUDE!" role in every movie is pretty tiresome.

Well according to Darkhorizons we'll have to wait until September of 2004 to view this show.
Now lets all talk about The Dawn of the Dead re-make coming out in March 2004.

I think that no (zombie) movie will ever top night of the living dead *remade colored version* that is. Most horror movies nowadays can easily be passed off as action films anyway.

Have you ever read the Zelda Comic. It was done by the guy who did Cyborg 009. in fact one of the characters from the Zelda comic was just like they american guy from Cyborg 009...and they both fly.
I think that the american guy was a homage to the Comic...but thats my opinion.
