I nearly pissed myself!!!!

I recently was browsing through some of the reviews and I happened to read the 2nd Review of Battletoads. Let me tell you something, it had to be the funniest damn thing I had ever heard!
However, I have a friend who has beaten that particular "Evil" third level. I guess that makes him some sorta hero to all those who have failed.

That review made me check if the bike level is so insanely hard everybody says it is. Holy fuck, it was. What's worse, I found out there's a level toward the end of the game where you have to race a rat down a shaft, and even when I quicksaved and -loaded like crazy, there was no way I could beat him the third time around. I mean, I avoided all platforms like the plague, so I practically FELL down the entire shaft, and I still was nowhere beating him. Stupid fucking game. Has anyone here honestly beaten it?

It's just one of those games that are impossible to beat. They had a bunch of those in the 80s.

Actually, I got past Rat Race. The only way to clear the third race is to headbutt the rat at the end of the long passages. He'll fly in the air, bounce off the wall, and run backwards, bounce off, and come back to you. Since he's like, twice as fast the third time you need to do this on each stretch :<

What's impossible is Wheeler Dealer, where you hold onto a cart and drive it around a level while an orb chases you. There are no checkpoints at all and it goes on for well over 10 minutes. Any mistake will mean you die later. Apparently Battletoads is the only game with anti-save-state protection.
