Silicon Knights raises some interesting issues. They're basically claiming that Epic has been delivering buggy versions of their engine to to their licensees, giving Epic's games the advantage over anything a third party can produce with it.
Now, undoubtedly the developers at Epic are going to know what to do with their own stuff better than anyone else, but if they've signed contracts stating that they're going to be fixing bugs then they're obligated to start delivering updated engines to other companies as the issues get resolved.

I would totally be on the side of Silicon any other point in their history but I firmly believe that this is just Dyack trying to shift blame.
From what I understand the game is getting some really negative attention from the press and fans, it seems that since they re-announced the game people have just lost interest in it. I don't want to say the game sucks since it still in development but since at just about every press conference they show the game off on the game play seems tired slow and clumsy.
If Knights can present some real evidence I'll be open to it. But It just seems like a convenient way to shift blame. you'd think after 8 years they would have made their own engine and be plugging away.

I could have sworn last E3 that the game ended up looking like shit, and if time tells anything, it happened again, and now they're trying to save face.
