Yeah, I actually enjoyed scanning too. Especially in the beginning of MP2 where you stumble upon the decimated GF marines base and find all of them dead, and you scan a bunch of them and slowly piece together what happened. It was actually a little creepy :o

I just think it fits in strangely with the gameplay, maybe it's just the whole non-linear way the story presents itself. I do like the games though.

So Hard Mode is either the same as normal mode and I haven't gotten any better at this, or I'm way better and Hard Mode is just what it claims to be, because it feels the same as my first playthrough.

I have this game!

It started out kinda boring, but I'm reaaaally into it now. I own Prime 1 but never played it.

The controls are just natural and work. The game itself is brilliant. Not much more to really say!

Prime 1 is atmospheric as fuck, and has some fantastic boss battles. Also, the Phazon Mine is one of my favorite areas in a video game, ever.

Prime 2 is like 1, except with slightly better graphics, cinematic flair, mediocre multiplayer, and a faggoty ammo system. And like I mentioned before, the way it sets up the story is awesome.

They are both worth a look!

Also, to be fair, I forgot to mention MP2's awful level design and agonizing puzzles. It's really really hard to play for more than 30 minutes at a time without the front of your head starting to physically ache, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut the redeeming features are the epicness of most of the boss fights and the great soundtrack.

Zero Mission and Fusion are also really good if you haven't played those, especially since they're both free.

IGN's video review of MP3 says that there is one boring section like that, Gadzooks, but it's only once in the whole game so its not too huge a deal.

I played this today at a GameCrazy. I set the sensitivity to advanced, and the result was that Samus appeared to be suffering from cerebral palsy. Also, my arms got really really tired by the time I actually got to kill something, and I still wasn't used to the retarded sensitivity setting, so I didn't do very well.

I liked it a lot, though!

I have the game and so far I've made it to the part where I'm fending off some space pirates. Pretty nifty so far, but definitely looking forward to getting deeper into the game to fight some of the bigger baddies.
