...created by the emperor Sigismund to protect his lands and keep people from making fun of his name.
:lol That was a great article. Loved it.

Awesome, but what happened to all the ladies?? "Carmilla" by Sheridan Le Fanu? Predates Bram Stoker, and it's a lesbian vampire who can only operate under anagrams of her real name for some reason... so she had also been known as Millarca and Mircalla. Because that's subtle...

Your putting way too much thought into Forever Knight. It was never as deep as you make it wou to be.

Totally missed out on making fun of Angel and his ridiculous obsession with hairgel.

But hilarious article nonetheless. I like when history is made fun of. :D

With all due respect, Max, you forgot Leslie Neilson. Nonetheless, excellent read.

Skipped Eddie Murphy too. I thought that was a really good one.

Perndog, I TOTTALY forgot about that one, and would have included it, 'cause it was such a sad little vanity project.

And Credit where Credit is due, the George Hailton entry is RoG's, not mine.

That being said, there was simply no way do everything that ought to have gone in that article. I had entries in mind on Anne Rice's Vampires, both books and the Interview with a Vampire movie but ended up not doing them on account of time running out. Same thing happened with plans for entries on Batman as Vampire and Storm as Vampire.

Didn't do Morbius because Proto already did him last year I think and again, I had nothing more to offer.

I didn't do Blacula, 'cause I did a card on him last year and I had no new jokes or insights to offer.

I didn't do John Carradine, who played the Count a number of times, as He's getting covered by me later.

It's a HUGE category. Maybe I'll do, a follow up next year.

Given the length of some of the movie synopses that Dr. Boogie posts, couldn't you do one big three-page article? Just spend the same time on it that you would on three little ones so your total workload isn't any bigger.

Also, I'm proud to have named the only one that you admit should have actually been included. :posh

But I really thought that Eddie Murphy's character in that movie was good. He captured the "true evil" thing without being comical, which is pretty amazing considering how ridiculous he could have been.
