Today marks the start of our "Double Feature Fridays" which will be taking place from now until the end of October (and we're still planning to do a full week of double features for the final week of Halloween, just like we did last year).

So to get things started off for the first half of this Double Feature Friday, here's my take on what is without a doubt one of the greatest horror movie moments EVER filmed. Cat lovers, you might want to look away... or not.

When in hell do you find these movies?

Now that takes me back.

I remember renting this with a girlfriend one New Year's Eve. When that scene popped up I chose to laugh. It was more of a single guffaw of surprise than a laugh, really. Still that scene completely cock-blocked me, it was NEW YEARS EVE - THAT'S A LOCK, and it was single handedly responsible for the break up of a wonderful relationship.

Good old 'what's her name' and me....Splitsville.

Wow. I always passed up that movie at the video store, I assumed it was a boring, straight-to-tv piece of shit devoid of special effects. Guess I may have to rent it and Split Second after all.

I like cats, but that was pretty damn funny.

Holy crap Grislygus! You passed over split second!? But regardless, mans best friend was always in the stack of horror movies I'd rent for my birthday.

BTW Split Second had one of the most bad ass creatures in b-movie history its like a combination of Verdugo from RE4, Gillman, and an Alien.
