I'm seeing these guys on my birthday next month, so I feel the urge to talk Misfits.
What's your favorite releases & live bootlegs and do you realistically believe a new album will EVER come out?

To be honest now days I find myself listening to Famous Monsters alot. I kinda like the poppy fun songs.
The Danzig era is great and all but I was stuck on that for far too long without giving Michael Graves a chance.
The band you're going to see is a shadowy ghost of itself. You'll still have fun but it doesn't feel like the Misfits anymore.

Carni took the words out of my mouth. They're a good darkish pop band, but they're not punk, and they're not the Misfits anymore. Both Misfits and Danzig are much better together. I still like them, they're fun, but it'll make you miss Static Age even more.

I used to be a HUGE Misfits fan when i was a teenager but really haven't kept up with anything Misfits or Danzig related in years. I've never really listened to the Michael Graves stuff so won't comment about it. I'd have to say "Legacy of Brutality" is my fave with the Anthology II being close 2nd. Actually, the coolest shit i've heard are the few songs they did with keyboards ("Cough Cool" and the version of "She" with no guitar).
When you go see 'em, ask Jerry if he's got a copy of "Kryst The Conqueror". I had a copy of that tape and was hard pressed to get rid of the damn thing. Don't remember any songs, just a general memory of it being horrible.

I know re-posting is the devil, but shit this concert was fun, though people like to speculate stupid stuff like nobody's business. I threw my pants in the air when they came on stage. I also had flip-=flops on and remembered that I took someone to said flea market where she got the flesh-eating bacterias.
The set itself felt short and I got out at 11:30, but if you're wondering what they played, here it is.
Halloween
Earth A.D.
Bloodfeast
Horror Biz
Hybrid Moments
Teenagers From Mars
Attitude
Some Kinda Hate
Astro Zombies
Skulls
I Turned Into a Martian
20 Eyes
Six Pack
Horror Hotel
Ghouls Night Out
Angelfuk
Hollywood Babylon
Vampira
London Dungeon
Thirsty and Miserable
The Abominable Dr. Phibes
American Psycho
Walk Among Us
From Hell They Came
Dig Up Her Bones
Kong at the Gates
Forbidden Zone
Crawling Eye
Helena
(some other Black Flag song)
Last Caress

At first, it seemed kinda weird that the Misfits would even do ANY covers but I guess Black Flag makes sense since they both had Robo as a drummer. Weren't these two bands like friends back in the day?
Great set list. I would've had fun. how much was the ticket, by the way?

20 bucks, which isn't too bad for a band that's 30 years old with a huge fanbase.

they toured together for years, and Rollins and Danzig used to be good friends.
