I.E., bands that you know are shitty, but against all logic you like anyway. As opposed to Gadzook's fine thread, this is for stuff you haven't grown out of yet.

As mentioned before, I'm partial to Wolfmother, and Dragonforce is growing on me at an alarming rate. Also, AC/DC will probably always be my favorite band ever, but I'm starting to see why they might be considered really mediocre.

There's another one, too, but I'm so completely embarrased about it that I'd probably die if anyone found out what it was. AND CHOJIN PINKY SWORE NOT TO REVEAL IT TO ANYONE SO YOU GUYS WILL NEVER KNOW. :[

Your turn!

I'm not ashamed of anything I like.
You should be crucified for lumping ACDC into this.

I'm insecure and schizophrenic about what I think of the music I like

You should definitely be embarrassed by Wolfmother and Dragonforce (you could like way better bands in the same genres and not have to be embarrassed at all). But ACDC is nothing to be ashamed of, I assure you.

I'm kinda embarrassed when the second half Daft Punk's Discovery comes up.

I'm not secure enough with my masculinity to blast Digital Love, but I think Aerodynamic is the greatest instrumental tracks of all time.

Dude, Daft Punk is a great fucking band. Don't be ashamed of it.

I am not at all ashamed of Daft Punk, I actually really wanted to see them at Lollapalooza because it seemed like it would be one of like one of those supernatural kissing the gates of heave type show.

But again the Lyrics of Digital Love makes me blush when I pull up to the stop light and I'm singing it it in my car and the entire van next to me is staring at me.

I feel like I need to dress up as one of them for Halloween just to prove that I really like Discovery.

In 1999 or 2000, I saw Frankie Goes To Hollywood live. But I don't feel guilty. I think it's masculine to declare proudly "I SAW FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD LIVE AND ... what? No! I'm not gay"

Now if it were Erasure my mom may have reason to worry.

I like Teenagers by My Chemical Romance. At first I was annoyed, but not enough to feel guilty about it.

Musical taste comes way after the crimes I've commited in my guilt list.

I don't think My Musical Taste is even on that list.

It probably should be.

Zappa is the man. Love his music, saw Dweezil live on the Zappa Plays Zappa tour last year. We met him afterwards and he said "its great that you like the music" b/cos i'm young [15]. He was like more young people need to spread it. In the pic we took with him theres a mysterious golden light above his head out of nowhere.... could be a camera flare or maybe a certain someone checking in on the concert?
Was an amazing show.
Thought I'd share that with you all.
I encourage all my friends to check him out

I am ashamed to admit it, but I sometimes listen to Hair Rock. What's worse is it doesn't stop at well known hair rock like Def Leppard or Motley Crue. It spills over into the octive shattering power ballad stuff like Poison, Slaughter, or Steelheart.

I tried to fight it at first, but gave up the first time I listened to the entire broadcast of House of Hair for the first time

I don't know if this will make you feel better or not, but I'm with you bro'. Van Halen and Aerosmith are two of my faves. Go ahead, shoot me.

I also like Zappa. "You Are What You Is" - it's worth a listen.

VH and Aerosmith are considerd multi-era rock bands though. You won't get funny looks listening to them like you would listening to Ratt or Skid Row.

My favorite band is actually Aerosmith. I am that geek that buys all their bootleg stuff I can find, their umpteenth live album they use to fufill the 3 multi album contracts they are stuck in, and useless memorabelia I really don't need.

How bad of an Aerosmith degenerate am I? I actually am buying the Aerosmith Guitar Hero game that is coming out, and I suck at Guitar Hero to the point that I had refused to buy the game before now.

I love Ace Of Base. A lot.

But that's nowhere near as embarassing as liking Dragonforce.

It's an amazing thing. Especially the Demon Days live, except shaun ryder's drunken badness.

Mine would be Streetlight Manifesto. I love them to death, just hate everyone else that listens to them and ruins it for me.
