I wanted to see these guys in Indiana, but the show sold out a month in advance. Still, I'm getting this next week along with a couple other albums.

I saw them in Edmonton, October 2004. Best show I've ever been to. Deaner freakin shredded our faces off during Voodoo Lady, and then ended the show by drunkenly dropping his guitar and stumbling off.

I can't wait to hear the new stuff.

As for La Chucaracha, it's really varied, but the songs are still a lot of fun and funny as all hell. I'd recommend it!

I've listened to the new album once or twice and I like it, although it seems a bit forgettable. "Blue Balloon," "Friends," "Learning to Love" and "Sweetheart" are the only songs that have jumped out at me so far.

On Friday's show:

Dean looked pretty miserable throughout, and it kinda showed in his performance. I heard he's going through some rough shit though. I wasnt too thrilled at his soloing all over certain songs, Voodoo Lady especially. I've heard some kickass solos on plenty of bootlegs, but that night he just seemed to be noodling away.

On the plus side, they played the best fucking version of Reggaejunkiejew ever. They stretched it out to a big stomping noise jam and it sounded fantastic.

Other highlights: Blarney Stone, The HIV Song, Exactly Where I'm At, Strap On That Jammy Pack, You Fucked Up, Stallion Part 5, Piss Up A Rope, Touch My Tooter, Mr. Richard Smoker

Deaner seems like a moody guy. I can relate. Awesome that you got to see them play, though. Reggaejunkiejew rocks - wish they had done it when I saw them.

Have you seen the Live in Chicago DVD? It has an amazing version of Touch my Tooter...

I must be the only person on here who does not like Ween. My wife loves them though. So In went online and looked up that push the little daisies song for her and played it without telling her who it was. She hated that song. :)

I can't stand that song. It was either a brilliant or foolish move for them to release that as their first "legitimate" single. It really is an annoying song, I know.

Actually, shit - that song is very effective, now that I think about it. It does exactly what it was meant to do, you know? My friend does a remarkably poignant acoustic version, believe it or not. Just sayin.

I actually love that song, genuinely. I think it's a great song, and not in an ironic way. But I think I have the ability to hear through things, ie an "annoying" or out of tune voice to what the song actually is, which in that case is a catchy pop song. It's one of my favourites on Pure Guava.

I'm also really surprised when so many people hate a song like "Don't Laugh (I Love You)" when I play it for them. I don't understand how other people's ears work AT ALL.

If its goal was to give me the same feelings I get when I hear nails scraping against a chalkboard when I hear it the yes they have accomplished thier goal.

I do not like anything about the song and its not just the guys annoying out of tune voice. I love listening to Dinosaur Jr. But as they say to each thier own. I seem to be in the minority when it comes to Ween since most others I know like them. Ive avoided them everyu since first seeing thier video debut on MTV. (Yes back when they actually played music.) Actually ironically I believe they played it on the headbangers ball when I first saw it.

WEEN SUCKS

The only f*cking song they were known for was that super homo rainbow song from south park and suddenly the hipsters f*ggots are all like, "I like Ween!"

F*ck.

I like Push Th' Little Daisies, but Pure Guava was a letdown for me.

And of course the guy's a douche. He compared Ween to Weezer. That's like comparing Black Sabbath to Linkin Park because you can find both bands at the "Metal" section at FYE.
