I got this game about three days ago, For the 360. Anyway when i go it there was only like 5 ones left for various consoles at walmart. so i opted to buy it for 360 because i found the guitar to look better, There werent any for wii left. I think that if i had the chance i wouldave gotten it for wii, But then i reized you have to put the controller into the guitar which looks really gay, i beat it on easy and had a really fun time playing it for the first time, do any of you own it for wii? if so, do you find any troubles with putting the wiimote in the guitar. And your statsus on completing the game.

Have it on wii. Remote fits just fine. Beat it on medium and have 2 songs left on hard. One and Cliffs Of Dover are fucking impossible. And I only say One is hard from "fast solo" and beyond.

How are the graphics on the wii version? I haven't been able to find a good video of the wii version for comparison.

Why the hell would graphics matter in Guitar Hero

Just for the sake of comparison, GW. That and I saw a few youtube videos of the wii version where the framerate looked like total ass, which would affect gameplay in a game like this, but I couldn't tell if it was just poor video quality. SO THERE.
Edit: Plus, I'm genuinely getting pissed off at the quality of most wii ports. It seems that whenever a developer makes a game on all the consoles they go out of their way to make sure the Wii version looks like a PS2 launch title. And since this is the first non-exclusive wii game I'm actually considering buying, I think you can see where my concern comes into play.

I heard about problems with the 360 controller. Seeing as how the neck clips onto the body, they say that some people have to hold it in themselves, even while they play.

The Wii version is actually a little buggy. Most don't affect the game play, just a little lag between menus and button presses, missing graphics for a split second, little stuff. BUT sometimes at the beginning of a song it lags enough where nothing syncs and you have to start over. But I've only encountered that twice out of like 300 times. Maybe this is on all of them? But I don't see any problems with the controller. I can nail hammer-ons and pull-offs with ease, when I actual learn them. The strum bar is as smooth as butta. Top-notch peripheral.
Plus that singer is butt ugly, am I right men?

False, the neck is permanently attached to the body.

Funny thing about this game - I've been playing guitar for 15 years, yet my sister, who has never played an actual instrument, is way better at Guitar Hero than me.

COUNTER FALSE, the neck is removed by holding down the little knoby thing on the back of the guitar and pulling off the neck...makes an awesome weapon.
Oh and Uncle_Sham........... The truth cannot be silenced:rock

Whenever someone plays this game at a party, I can't stop laughing at the drummer. He acts like one of the robots in a chuck e. cheese animatronic band.
I was going to buy this before I remembered that these games bore the crap out of me and are really terrible guitar sims. Then I got all excited for gamestop's 30% trade-in value on Rock Band and got together $100 worth of trade-ins before I realized that not only do I not care about that either, but $170 is a ridiculous amount of money to charge for any game.

Uh, Wal-Mart has a very exploitable return policy last I checked, as long as you didn't devour the packaging or the receipt in your brutal fatty rampage.

just say "open the package and gimme the good guitar and you take the crap" then the game stays closed.

this is bullshit,
I returend the stupid thing to wallmart yesterday, to return it i told them that the disk lags which it dosent. So i got my 88 bucks back and decided to go to superstore to get a new one with the wireless guitar. But guess what, they dident have it. Neither did zellers, or any other store to speak of, so im either going to have to wait another week for new shipment. or go on ebay and buy one, Either way im going to have to wait a week, im not shure how i will be able to survive without my precious.

Um excuse my supreme ignorance but is there any difference in these controllers aside from how they look?
DuFresne
Nov 17th, 2007, 02:36 PM
For the Xbox360, the old X-plorer model is wired while the new Les Paul is not, and there may be other differences I'm not aware of. Wal-Mart also has a similar GHIII bundle for the PS2 which comes with an old SG instead of the Kramer, the latter of which is still wired but has some non-cosmetic redesigns to make it (presumably) higher quality.
So yeah, it's just a ploy from Wal-Mart to sucker in unsuspecting consumers with power prices.

I haven't posted in this forum for over a year, but I just opened this thread because I heard that it has the song "Hier Kommt Alex" on it. Which, I never really appreciated that song because it's before the era of Die Toten Hosen that I actually usually venture into, but I'm glad that they're at least getting some recognition. I'm furthermore glad that they chose a German song of theirs (they have several English songs), but it would have been fucking funny if they had selected their one French song that I know of.

Activision is going to ship replacement GH3 discs for Wii owners next year (the ones available now only play sound in mono).
So, how did that get through QA?
Or maybe it was an issue of not enough TIME.
SIR WE CAN'T SHIP NOW WE ONLY HAVE TIME TO CODE ONE CHANNEL OF SOUND
