feature length futurama dvd (http://www.ilovebender.com)

haha, one of the extras is a full episode of "Everybody Loves Hypnotoad." I saw a commercial for it on Fox over the weekend and couldn't believe my eyes. The rumors were true!!

I just watched this, it kinda blew.

I thought about getting it off torrent, but decided to wait. It CAN'T blow! :(

But thanks for prepping me for what will most certainly be a huge disappointment. I've got very high expectations for these movies, and I doubt any of them will be able to live up to what I expect/hope for. That said, I'll be at Wal-Mart tonight at midnight to buy it.

matt groening has really slid with the cartoon buisness, i used to watch the simpsons and futurama all the time. And i really loved both, But the simpsons has really gotten less funny. Especially the movie, it blew major dick. I still watch futurama on late night teletoon but im not sure of this movie. it looks like its going the same way as the simpsons.

What, you didn't see the trailer floating around? Of course it sucks.

As I understand it, the films will be broken into episodes for the return season, much like The Family Guy movie was. I honestly think that will work a lot better. There was a lot of filler, poor pacing and editing and the jokes were not at all paced as they were in the original series. If the cut back the material into 3 shows, it would work a lot better.

It kind of sounds like the same problems they had with the ATHF movie, like the show didn't work as a movie because it was designed to work for its specific timeslot.

I forgot about this thread. The movie is good, and the extras are awesome (although I was a little disappointed with "everybody loves hypnotoad"). Tons of tie ins to the series, so if you were a fan I think you'll like the movie. I cringed during the songs, but at least they were short.

All things considered, I give the DVD an 8.5 out of 10. A good rental for fans of animated comedy, and a must have for fans of the series.
