Man this movie looks like shit. I'm sure there will be some great quotes that come out of it though! Stuff like "I'M GOING TO COME AT YOU LIKE A...SPIDER MONKEY!" LOL

Looks more like a bad bio-pic parody in the vein of the Scary Movie franchise and the Comebacks.

Judd Apatow co-wrote and produced this one, so it can't be all that bad. He's one of those who you think is going to be all lowbrow, and to some extent he is. Then you watch one of his movies, and they're usually pretty funny.
He also did Freaks and Geeks. I may wait until this comes out on video, though.

Steve Brule is so hardcore that he isn't hardcore. Plus, he's able to time travel.
Why? Because of donkeys in space. That's fucking why. ;)

So anyway, i saw this. I'm not sure if it was a straight parody of walk the line or not, because he kept ripping sinks out of the wall. At any rate, I loved it. It had all the off the wall crap you'd expect from the "Guys who brought you the 40 year old virgin and superbad." Plus some enjoyable cameos. The Beatles where by far the best.
Jon Lennon: "Let's try a new mantra everyone. Oooouuuummmmm, Paul is a coont."
BTW the song's are actually pretty good too.

I thought this as well. I haven't gone to see it yet because I can't talk anyone into seeing it.

It's a decent little film-- I didn't go into it expecting the wheel to be reinvented, but a pretty broad satire of the "biopic" genre as a whole, and especially musical bios. The "Dylan phase stuff" was pretty good, and the running joke with Tim Meadows introducing Reilly to various drugs was consistently funny. Still not sure if this was the right vehicle for John Reilly to launch himself as a comedic lead, but it's a good start.

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and LMAO!!!
I would actually would wait until video--not because the movie is awful, but because it's so layered with references you'll want to go back and rewind.

Is it still in theaters? I was going to see this Christmas Day but something else came up like family and stuff.
