3. Mystical Ninja 64 - N64
2. Mega man Legends - PS1

i'm going to have to inquire about these two, because they're both spectacular games

it's hard to decide on just five, but after some thought i narrowed it down:

5. kingdom hearts
4. kingdom hearts
3. kingdom hearts
2. world of warcraft
1. kingdom hearts

I can only think of two games which I really hate:

2. Zelda
1. Final Fantasy

Though you could extend this to include all Japanese games.

MetalMilitia... WUTDAFUXOR!
The Legend of Zelda series is phenominal!
The Final Fantasy series is awesome!
----------------------------------------
Also... Emu?The reason I chose Mystical Ninja64
and Megaman Legends is that I saved up my allowence when I
was a kid to buy those games but then...
crappy controls.... crappy animation!
Though Megamans attitude was funny....
"There are some dirty magazines. They might be fun to look at.
But too many people are watching." heh heh lol.
My bro is anti social because of world of warcraft.

5. Guitar Hero (although this one is more because of the horrifyingly annoying fanboys than anything else cuz I'll still play it every once in a while if I don't have to pay for it)
4. Street Fighter series
3. Viewtiful Joe
2. Final Fantasy 9
1. TALES OF SYMPHONIA aka the absolute worst game ever made ever this is a FACT PROVEN WITH SCIENCE and not personal opinion and denying it makes you an ignorant faggot who is also a furry so shut the fuck up Escobar

Also, Megaman Legends? That game is fantastic :<

Hmmm....

1. Shaq Fu - SNES
2. I don't remember the exact name, but it was a faggot ass Street Fighter title that was in 3D. - PSX
3. All the Devil May Cries - PS2
4. Hogan's Alley - NES
5. The latest GB Pokemon games. They kinda fucked the original system, which was fine as it was.

#5. Rock Band -- I wanted to choke every sleazoid I saw banging away on it at Wal-Mart, it made me hate the game. (Yes I enter Wal-Marts!)
#4: Wall Street Kid (NES) -- I rented this game as a child, and I played for five minutes..and then I cried because my mom wouldn't take me back to the store to rent another game. I had to be satisfied with Wall Street Kid for a weekend!
#3: Battletoads (NES) -- That speed bike racing part was the type of stuff that caused you to break a controller in frustration.
#2: The Grand Theft Auto Series -- What's the big f'ing deal with these games?
#1: Deja Vu (NES) -- Actually I love this game, but it increased my unhealthy obsession with Raymond Chandler and tough talking PI's in trench coats and fedoras.

1. True Crime: New York City (XBOX) - So fucking glitchy, it was rushed out of development, and no one likes rushed games that clones GTA, not even the NYPD Media Unit would give them any trademark rights for use of their name, so it says PDNY and a little peice of paper disclamer to not be related to NYPD.

2. Sims (PS2) - Got boring, PC version is better.

3. Need For Speed: Underground (PS2) - I was expecting some collision models, but no the cars and traffic stops when you hit them and just sit there blinking.

4. Grand Turisumo 4 (PS2) - No online play, instead they allowed you to use your PS2's USB to print pictures of your cars. WOW so fucking innovative.

5. Midtown Madness 3 (XBOX) - Someone can easily say that they beat the game by entering a cheat code.

These are in no order, my hate is as impartial as a mother's love.

Bart vs. The Space Mutants - I spent so long playing this game as a kid, and I FINALLY got to the second level and got sucked up by the wet cement over and over and over and over.

Altered Beast - It's one of those games that I feel like I'd really like if it just controlled a little better. Every single time I play the game I forget that a crouching kick goes vertical, and every single time I am OUTRAGED.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Fuck this game and if you like it, fuck you. I know tons of people that like and own this game, and I don't understand why. It's the most frustrating thing I've ever played.

Silent Hill 4: The Room - I'm a really big fag for the Silent Hill series, so when I realized that the second half of the game is a giant escort mission, I was pissed. When I realized that there were FLAMING SEETHING GHOSTS that you couldn't kill, I was pissed. And during a particularly painful sequence in which you had to escort a badly injured woman up a haunted escalator, I threw my controller into my wall.

Any Old-School FPS - Doom, Quake, Marathon, pretty much anything. I realize I didn't exactly grow up with it, but all of the textures look exactly the same and I end up either getting lost or sick or bored before I even finish a level.

I'd also like to add a special achievement award for any video game community ever, as I hate each and every last one of them.

EDIT - By the way, fuck you guys, that Sub-Zero game was awesome.

I haven't really played bad games, 'cos almost all the games me and my friends had were kick ass. Although there were Cliffhanger and Bart vs. Spacemutants, which we all hated.

Oh and NES/SNES Super Marios. Although they have nice graphics and are over all great games etc., the games are repeative as hell. And the music ain't that great either, atleast after you've gotten used to those in Sonic games.

EDIT: Oh and I mean Megadrive Sonic games, not these later fucked up ones.

It's a good game, I've beaten it. But the problem for me was that at some point of the game it got boring. Both music and gameplay wise.

But then again, I had a Megadrive. And didn't really get to enjoy NES/SNES games until I started using emulators. So my point of view could be different if I would have actually played Mario games back in the early 90s.

I thought I already posted in a topic about shit video games, but I guess I was WRONG. Well, free games and the N64 suck, so that's a trend most can agree on.

5. Diddy Kong Racing (N64) - Everybody clamored about this game, even police officers. I thought it was irritating and shit at best. But notable that they pushed Conker as a children's character before a really unexpected 180.

4. Pokemon Snap (N64) - Quite possibly one of the most pointless games ever made. It had a special ploy to print stickers at Blockbusters, which lasted all of a month.

3. Adventure Quest (FREE MMO) You think Quest 64 was boring and uninspired!? The banner ads give a perfect idea of just how uincreative this brainless shitfest is.

2. Runescape (FREE MMO) Because it's concocted the most surreal imagery I've ever seen in my life. Dozens of kids running to the public library to play a god-awful MMO with horrible graphics and stuff. On the bright side, the graphics aren't done in MS Paint anymore and rather 3dSMAX version 2.0 or something. Still, I played it for five minutes and said "What the fuck are my friends on?".

1. Strategy Guides. I think a top five lists of most pointless strategy guides would be more amusing.

MarioRPG
Jan 8th, 2008, 07:34 PM

1. Strategy Guides. I think a top five lists of most pointless strategy guides would be more amusing.

Except that the entire list would be populated by the FF9 strategy guide, the most useless piece of shit ever produced. Every page had a numerical code you were supposed to type into PlayOnline.com that would take you to a 404 error page because they released the game before finishing the website.

Nagano Olympics for N64
FarCry: Vengeance for wii
Return to Castle Wolfenstein on PS2 (not the pc or xbox versions, which I hear were much better)
Goldeneye: Rogue Agent

Those are the only games I can think of that have seriously disappointed me. Keep in mind I was 10 or 11 when I got Nagano. I've played some other gloriously awful games like the 3D remake of Paperboy for N64, but games like that have a special place in my heart. :love

I got Farcry: Vengence thinking "Come on, it can't be that bad. After two or three games, they've gotta have the FarCry formula down by now, right?" WRONG. In their defense, I'm sure they were more focussed on Crysis at the time, but still. >:

Journey (Atari): The one based on the rock band. Just a stupid premise for a game.
Mighty Bomb Jack (NES): Just a ridiculously boring and confusing game. What was worse, I bought it new and it had no manual, so I had no clue what to do.
Athena (NES): It just never seemed to go anywhere. Poor level design and mechanics.
Spawn (PS1): I forget if it had a subtitle, but this was truly a heaping mountain of corny, runny, tri-colored shit among all the other piles of Spawn crap games. Awful graphics, very poor controls, and buggy on top of all that.
Tenchu 2: Birth of the Assassins (PS1): Hated for its complete lack of everything that made the first one so good.

3. Adventure Quest

2. Runescape
I agree. When I played RuneScape, I made my player an archer, but when I finally got the best free player armor for archers, pvp clans would laugh at me because they'd rather pick a "pure" with 60 ranging and 10 defence who appears at the same combat level as my 40 ranging and 40 defence. Even though the "pure" can't even wear the full armor at that low defence.

But after playing Adventure Quest for about 10 minutes, I thought "Wow, this even makes RuneScape look good." But they're both garbage.

Also, I haven't seen Second Life mentioned here yet. There's no point to it at all, and they make you pay your real money to own e-land.

Rise of The Robots- boring as sin fighter

Mafia- the beginning started out pretty strong. But I've never seen a game fizzle out so quickly. I wouldn't call it terrible, but it's in the bottom.

WWF Smackdown 2- dear God, the load times form hell!

Runescape- I think this one's been covered.

And rounding out the list is a bunch of licensed crap I bought for the SNES. I can't pick which one deserves to be called out as the worst. I consider the collection as one pitiful unit.

Graphics were below average, the story was pretty generic, there was no character development, there were no random encounters, you couldn’t customize your characters, the party consisted of two members…

Maximum Carnage (SNES)

This game was ridiculous fun back in my day, and beating it was nearly impossible unless you had a cheat device. Never mind even mentioning Green Jelly playing two whole 16-bit butt-rock songs on it.

The controls are so far out of whack that it beggars belief to think that someone would play this game for more than a hour before giving up. All the neat car tricks, the precision shooting, various other aspects like catching criminals are all pretty badly handled. Nothing says 'no fun' like trying to pull all these car tricks only to end up flying backwards into oncoming traffic. Someone should have hired Rockstar into working a few more months on the controller handling alone. And this is ignoring the whole 'no real map' thing that turns a perfectly done sandbox game into 'just follow this to this and admire the blurred scenery' game. And what was the deal with the highways? You could play the whole game without getting onto one. It was essentially pointless and this become very clear when San Andreas came out and kicked all sorts of ass.

And the less said about TC: NYPD, the better. Talk about a wasted opportunity to fix some issues. Instead, the whole thing takes a backseat to the Driver game series.

Because, for some reason, older gamers seem to love difficulty levels that are the video-game equivalent to being sodomized with a rusty razor.

Ghouls and Ghosts, Super Mario Bros the Lost Levels, Battletoads Oh my god those games are so entertaining and painfully difficult that you feel like starring in a snuff - s/m movie. ((Yes I know, My comparison sucks))

I'm one of the few people on earth who still has a Philips CD-I.

So, my #1 choice is Zelda: Faces of Evil. I can't believe i have such a shitty game. It's laying in my basement somewhere. Guess i'll sell it for 2 cents.

I also hate WoW because... i don't know. I just don't like it.

I never understood the amount of hate this game got. Sure, it wasn't the best game in the series, but it's not like it was a complete piece of shit.

Willow on the NES is the only situation where the game was superior to the movie.Well, if you're not Japanese you may not be familiar with Sweet Home, but the Famicom game is a great survival-horror RPG (although for some reason I keep forgetting about it whenever I post in favorites NES games/scary games/whatever, even though at another forum I use the cameraman for my avatar). The movie is MST3K material.

I really like Bart vs. the Space Mutants. It was VERY frustrating though. You think the second level was hard? The final level was an excercise in futility. I can't even get back to the final level on my emulator with cheats!
I would almost disagree with FFVIII. I don't think they finished the game. It lacked the polish that I was expecting. I give Square credit for trying something new though. Also, Squall was much less whiny than Cloud. Come on, Cloud pussed up and started getting all sappy and shit on the first damn disc!
Anyways...
5- Any wrestling game. I don't care. Wrestling is stupid, and the games are even stupider.
4-Tekken 5, it was like trying to fight while encased in Jell-O. Tag Tournament was smooth and quick
3-the True Crime series
2-Driver 2, I was extremely disappointed. The roads CURVE!! But the rest of the game sucks nuts.
1-Final Fantasy X, FUCK Tidus. I liked most of the game, the combat system was nice, the leveling system was neat, Lulu kicked ass, but Tidus ruined everything for me. I quit playing because I got tired of his dumbass and his dumberass voice.

I thought Quest 64 was decent. Why didn't you like it?

It was a matter of how disappointed I was in the game. It wasn't like it was the worst game ever made, but after the RPG?/adventure drought the N64 had, I felt I was owed something truly epic. Quest 64 did not do that for me.

because it's trendy to hate Quest 64

If I just started hating it, there might be something to that, but I paid 60 clams to be more underwhelmed than I had ever felt in my life. So I hated it before I saw a review or opinion on it. If anything I started the trend rather than followed it :lol

Willow on the NES is the only situation where the game was superior to the movie.

That was a pretty fun game, and impossible to find to boot. Refresh my memory, was that done by Capcom?

Except that the entire list would be populated by the FF9 strategy guide, the most useless piece of shit ever produced. Every page had a numerical code you were supposed to type into PlayOnline.com that would take you to a 404 error page because they released the game before finishing the website.

Truest. Statement. Ever.

My friend and I still sometimes answer each others questions with "go to playOnline to find out" Why the hell should I have to do more work after playing 15 dollars for a book that is supposed to have answers. All I got were pictures?! I could go to a museum, pay less for it, and see much better looking pictures! I don't know if gamers ever got an apology for that, we were certainly owed one.

On the plus side, I was introduced to the concept of printing online guides because of that crap book, so it freed me from paying for walkthroughs.

I hate all strategy guides anyway and I hate giving in to the pressure of looking up how to get past certain areas of games when I'm stuck.

I can never find anyone who shares this opinion though :\ I find it more rewarding to figure stuff out on my own because I'm a huge fag >:

On puzzle and most adventure games I agree with that. On stuff like RPGs where an uber item is hidden in the 37th bush in the north part of a village though, I will use guides because I don't have time to search every ppixel of a game and I want to get straight to the game and plot, rather than an insane scavenger hunt.

Also, I haven't seen Second Life mentioned here yet. There's no point to it at all, and they make you pay your real money to own e-land.

My girlfriend always talks about that game. I always ask, what do you do on it? And she inevitably says, "you buy stuff and open a store and people buy whatever you sell. You can simulate any store on there." I usually reply, "Or... I can go to any real store in real life." :lol

4. Ikari Warriors 1 and 2 (it's too easy to die and everyone moves like they're wading in molasses)
3. Back to the Future for the NES (i loved the movie, and i enjoyed the ride so much that i cried when i rode it for the last time, but what in the blue hell does this game have to do with the movie other than the Johnny B. Goode minigame? absolutely nothing)
2. Silent Service (i didn't expect a sim to be that boring)
1. High School Musical: Makin' The Cut (i only played the demo that can be downloaded at wal-mart, and the demo itself was just enough to make me sick. thank goodness they had Contra 4's demo to regain my manliness and dignity)

2.Robotech: Battlecry
3.Capcom's Fighter's Evolution

and just to get it out of my system, most N64 games are terrible. I dont even know why i kept buying games for it.

I hated those new stupid Sonic games like Sonic Heroes. The opening made me wanna scream "SONIC HEROOOOOOOESSS!!!!!!" OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
The game sucked too, I had to play with sound off as the voices were so annoying. Even my 5 year old brother found it stupid. I don't understand why it's a PS2 "Greatest Hit" It's retarded.

Grandia Xtreme. Stupidest game ever.

The new Musashi. Absolutely awful wasted an hour of my life. The voice acting was just plain unforgivable.

Oni sucked IMO. I found the voices annoying, and it took forever to load for some reason. And playing it made me feel literally sick to my stomach and gave me a headache, something to do with the graphics I believe.

FFX-2 was an embarrassment to the FF series. Really it was just fanservice and mini-games.

Final Fantasy 12 was dreadful. The gameplay was kinda decent but the plot and the characters had the depth of a puddle.

I was going to put Silver surfer for the NES because that's just a rediculous game. Before playing it I assumed Silver Surfer was near immortal but then the NES game made me aware of his weakness.................Everything! I was killed by a Rubber Ducky, WTF! Not the lizard men, or Galactus or something impressive.

Rubber Ducky, you're the one. You make bathtime lot's of fun. Rubber Ducky....You killed the fucking Silver Surfer!!!

That's when Ernie knew he had to get out of dodge.

5. Ghostbusters (NES) - Got it when I was a kid, still can't beat the Zuul building without a Game Genie. Even a Turbo Controller won't get you up those fucking stairs fast enough.

4. Contra: Legacy of War (PSX) - Got this for $2.99 in an EB Games bargain bin, and I STILL felt it was a ripoff.

3. World of Warcraft - Only because I saw a lot of my friends destroy their lives over this fucking game. That, and I got tired of hearing them bitch at each other over who got what loot. It doesn't matter, it's not fucking REAL you idiots!

2. Action 52 (NES/Genesis) - Quite possibly one the worst games ever made. 52 broken, unplayable piles of shit that pass themselves off as "games". If you can find ONE game on this cart that doesn't suck big, fat, donkey cock, then I get legal permission to drill a hole in your skull for scientific purposes.

1. Epidemic - A very obscure FPS for the Playstation. I originally thought it was going to be a cool horror-themed shooter about a dude in a hazmat suit against hordes of plague-ridden freaks that vomited blood. Well, it sounded a lot better in my mind, I guess. In reality, I got a half-baked story about some loser trying to save his girlfriend from a made-up disease, and he does this by piloting a very stupid-looking mech through the same office building over and over in search of a cure. This was the only game in existence that gave me motion sickness, I couldn't play it for more than five minutes before I felt like throwing up.

Fuck, i dont post on these forums anymore.

1.STRIDER (Arcade, genesis) - The guy who made this game never intended for it to be beaten. Its an absolute travesty of a game. Sure, the first level is fun, but the rest of the game is a lesson in futility.
2.STRIDER (NES) - Stupid
3.Final Fantasy 12 - I really enjoy how they made Vaan the main character. It was pretty much that it was a last minute decision to make the androgynous dude the hero to appease japanese yaoi fangirls.
4.Surf Ninjas (Game Gear) - why?
5.PO'ed - Not very much fun at all.
