1. Baldur's Gate 2: I've probably played this game over 200 hours, i just love it so damn much!
Now some others (way more than 5): Fallout 1 & 2, GTA Vice City and San Andreas, Civilization 4, Medieval II: Total War, DooM (yep, the 1st one, which I still consider superior to 3), Super Smash Bros. Melee, Eternal Darkness, Sam and Max hit the road, Arcanum, Max Payne 2, Starcraft, Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines, Stalker, Shadow of Chernobyl and probably some more.
I've never bothered to order them, so I couldn't decide on my top 5, so I just counted all my favorite games I could think of.

I called Blaster Master my favorite game, but if I had to I'd let it burn, because I can get another copy for a buck. On the other hand, I coughed up $130 for Panzer Dragoon Saga, and $170 for Radiant Silvergun. I haven't played the former yet (it probably will be the next thing I play, though), and while I really liked what I played of the latter I really haven't played enough form an opinion of it. However, those two would get my priority in a fire.

Maybe the correct question is if some time disruption threatened the existence of the game, would you go back in time and save it?

There are about 15 or so I love equally, so I would have a hard time choosing. But I would probably go with

Though all of the following are close and depending on my mood might get swapped in for any of the above (except Valkyrie Profile, that goes no matter what).
