I hope this show keeps up. It has staying power for me.

Isn't the main character a terminal patient?

I haven't seen it but I don't want it to end up being prison break.

I don't see how it's anything like prison break. I've been seeing tons of previews on AMC and it does look interesting.

you said lasting power, if the main character dropped his life as high school teacher to be a meth cooker because he was diagnosed with cancer, I think naturally the stories gonna come to the point where he's eventually going to die.

this is analogous to prison break where the show revolves around breaking out of a prison, which can only take so much time so the story becomes convoluted and they break out of prisons all across the world like a disney on ice tour.

I was actually going to post a thread on this last night after watching it but I got real lazy instead.

I've been waiting for this show for weeks and after watching last night's episode, it did not disappoint. I also hope this show sticks around.

I expected the show to have a little bit happen over time but so far a whole lot has happened really fast. Hopefully it won't falter as a result of that.

Sticks around, I mean, after the pilot episode.

No shit?

Yeah, that was to see if it'd be successful. My DirecTV called it a pilot, at least.

The second episode aired last night and once again it didn't disappoint. The ending was particularly amusing. Can't wait for next week.

I hope it lasts a long time. I can see them drawing it out by having White get into other crazy shit, and then realize that his cancer is in regression for some reason, then he sticks with doing all the crazy shit because it makes him feel alive and such....

It could work on many levels. But I don't see the terminal cancer angle really sticking around after three seasons. I'm guessing it's going to be one of those 'cosmic joke' things that serves as a MacGuffin.
