Saving throw. I've thought about it for the past hour, and there's really no better joke than one about saving throws. Fortitude, death, the thing that killed him, they all point to saving throw being the best route for a joke about his death. What, is someone going to post some shit about owlbears? Fuck no.

I always thought, somehow, that Ed Greenwood would go first. It would've made me feel better.

i heard on the radio that he used to hold DnD games at his house. man, he must've been the best DM ever :(
i've never played any sort of DnD-esque game but i've sat in on a few and they seem fun. i just wish there were people around here to play with who weren't total geek dork fag asses.

Way to project.
He did a VO for a dungeon in D&D Online. It was hilariously bad.

I was acually a bit shocked reading he died... not so much for the dying, but I never thought he was 70 by now.

Well you're right. He was 69, not 70.

Oops! My bad. I thought it said "Gary Gygax dead FROM 69" not "AT".
After reading that he was still DMing until January of this year, had six kids and a wife, with nothing being mentioned of any previous marriages, I thought, "DAMN!!!! I hope I can go out that way!!".
He did inspire some of us to dream.

I caught gayness from reading that.

Yes, Tadao, you have excellent GAY-dar. How does it register when you walk by a mirror?

I can't go near mirrors, I get trapped by my handsomeness.

So you thought he died in some sexual mishap?

It's probably not what happened, but he did have pre-existing heart conditions. Though the image may not be pleasant, I would like to think that Gary "felt it coming on" and decided to "make love" once more before going.
If you were going to die, would you rather be slumped over a gaming table with a d4 sticking in yer eye, friends all sobbing....
Or would you rather have your wife's ass on your face in bed, kicking the headboard because you hit "that spot" more than once?
And i was wrong, he was married twice, but whatever.
