View Full Version : Your weirdest dreams?

I don't know about you guys, but I have goofy-ass dreams pretty much constantly.
Last night I dreamed I was watching a TV show called "No Shit, They're Polar Bears". It was hosted by this really perky, annoying lady who was always sticking her face right up to the camera, trying to be cute. (Very much like Kirsten Gum of "Cash & Treasures", actually.) The show was five or six segments long.
In the first segment, they showed two polar bears swimming around in a tank of icy water. The host prattled on about that for a while, then she said, "Now I'm gonna try it!" So she gets into a wetsuit and jumps in and starts freaking out about how cold it is. She jumps back out and squeals, "It's furrrrrrrrEEEEEZING in there! I mean, there are CHUNKS of ICE in the WATER! But look at them, they can swim around in there with no problem at all!"
Then the screen froze, a giant blue stamp-graphic of the show's title was plastered over the picture of the polar bears in the pool, and a chorus of studio-voices shouted, "NO SHIT, THEY'RE POLAR BEARS!"
I can only remember one other segment...there was this dead seal all flayed out on the ground, and it showed the two polar bears ripping off pieces. Then the host got in there and hoisted a chunk of raw seal meat to her mouth. "Yuck! It's all bloody! But this is what they eat every day! Day in and day out, they eat raw, bloody things like this, can you belieeeeve it?"
Cut to the stamp-graphic with accompanying *clunk* superimposed over seal guts. "NO SHIT, THEY'RE POLAR BEARS!"
It was the dumbest and funniest dream I've ever had. I actually woke myself up laughing in my sleep.

I rarely have vivid dreams, but there's a couple of weird ones I've had.
I had one about a camp filled with italien mothers and their children. There seemed to be some sort of competition about who gets the most children, but nobody knew who their kids were, so they just grabbed all they could get. But if one mother claimed a kid was hers, and another did too, there was only one way to solve it: Knife fight to the death.
Don't ask.
And I've had several dreams about trying to cross a street, falling over, not being able to get up or even crawl, upon which a truck drives me over. Or I try to jump a really small stream of lava, and fall in. Those suck.
Or when I was small I dreamt I was on top of a tower, and my dad picked me up and help me up so I could see better. But then he held me over the edge and let's go! I fell into a deep darkness, and then wake up on the floor with a backache. That one also sucks.
And when I'm sick I always have dreams about death. For example, I'm a soldier sleeping in a camp in my tent, but through a crack I constantly see people stabbing each other in their sleep, and I'm just terrfified. And this goes on for ages. Shit.
I probably remember know some more, but I can't remember them right now.

My worst dream ever was once when I dreamed I had to go take a piss, and I was standing over the toilet for like ten minutes and it just wouldn't stop coming, and then I felt something weird and I looked down and a weird, red veiny looking thing was coming out of the hole.
In a similar thread on SomethingAwful someone had a very similar dream so it must not be too uncommon :\

I remember when I was little, I had a dream where I was walking by some indoor pool (like a YMCA-style, institutional pool) and there were elephants swimming and playing in the water. Then suddenly I was walking on this sidewalk that just extended into empty space...nothing above, below or around it...and there were these giant butterflies darting around. Then one dive-bombed me and its head was like an evil sea-lion with needle teeth, and all of the butterflies suddenly started attacking me.
The majority of dreams I have are repeat dreams about being in a shopping mall and finding a passageway that leads to this fantastic, deserted, bigger mall. In the dreams I'd have fun running around an abandoned mall (unlike Dawn of the Dead, there didn't seem to be any zombies to work around). I actually looked forward to dreaming about it, because they were very predictable. Haven't dreamed those in a while though.
When I was a REALLY little kid, I would have nightmares that consisted entirely of music. Like, the Twilight Zone theme, or the theme from that show "Tales from the Darkside" (talk about bad 80s tv) would just play over and over in my head and I'd wake up in a cold sweat. Or that song, "Funny Farm"...you know, "they're coming to take me away, ha-ha"?...that scared the crap out of me for some reason.
I was a strange kid, I guess.

A couple of nights ago I had a dream that I was locked out of my house without my keys. So I started screaming at myself that I was already in the house and ripping off my fingernails and trying to jam them into the keyhole of the door while my hands bled all over. :(
And I've had the dream about my teeth falling apart in my mouth at least 5 times.

For about three weeks straight, every single night, I had a dream in which Joey Ramone was telling me I had to wear a certain necklace. He never explained why, he just kept telling me to, and reminding me where I kept it. It got so damn weird that I actually got up and found the necklace and put it on, even though I felt like an idiot for doing so.
Strange thing is, ever since I did that, he stopped.

I have one that was pretty weird, but it pales in comparison to my brother's dream he told me about. Mine mostly involves me watching TV and it is this movie where this 8 foot tall guy in a trench coat and a bowler hat is killing people. Then, all of the sudden I am in the movie, only it is set in my town. I am running looking for a place to hide and I see this bakery. The owner of the bakery agrees to hide me from the killer provided I work at his bakery. I agree and as I am working I look up on the wall to see an employee of the month plaque with the 8 foot tall trench coat bowler hat guy. I am about to call the bakery owner out on it when all of the sudden I am watching TV again, and Eva Gabor is introducing another scary feature. Then I woke up and said out loud, "What the hell was that?"
My brother's dream started with him reading the Columbus Dispatch, he was looking at the section where they have all the strip club ads. He sees an ad that says, "Sexy Wendy will come to your house and do a sexy show." So he picks up the phone, dials the number, and seconds later hears a knock on the door and a sexy woman in a red bikini is there and she has a large trunk with her.
She asks my brother, "Are you ready for a sexy show?"
He answers, "I sure am".
"Okay" she replies, "Take off all your clothes."
So he takes all his clothes off, and she opens up the large trunk, ducks behind it, and from behind it pop up two puppets doing a puppet show. Just as he is about to ask "what the fuck" the dream shifts and he is suddenly standing naked on the set of Kukla, Fran, and Ollie.
My brother told everyone about that dream because he was so amused by it.

I once dreamt that I knew I was dreaming, yet I couldn't leave the dream. And every time I thought I was no longer dreaming something frighteningly fucked up would happen, one involving me getting out of my bed and finding my house demolished around me. And all the while voices kept mocking me for not being able to wake up. The cycle just kept happening over and over again, and I'm confident in saying that it'll probably be the worst dream I'll ever have in my life since on top of that it literally felt like I was dreaming for hours. :(
Is there a book or a movie out anywhere about a dream that lasts an eternity? It seems plausible, in my opinion, since your brain seems to be able to fabricate a timeframe that's completely relative to real time. It's a scary thought :eek

I constantly have dreams about zombie apocalypses, more like this webcomic, http://www.thezombiehunters.com/index.php?strip_id=1,
where there are different classes of zombies, and I wake up and swear I hear shambling. On a lighter note, in class I had some dream my friend was pointing stuff out to me in a magazine, and when I woke up I didn't realize I was dreaming, so the first thing I said was 'Where's Julia?" and everyone thought I was losing it. It was pretty awkward.

On nights when I stay up later than usual(About 5 AM, always over the weekends), I have vivid dreams. They're in a group of different environments, but once, I thought "What if they're all really close and connected?". I started to think out a map in my mind, and it's sort of like this:
The main area is downtown. It always changes, except for a few key features:It's always next to a river. Or an ocean, it varies between dreams. It has a huge mall with an arcade about the size of a department store. The mall has 4 floors(varies, but 4 is the most I've seen) and a hotel/casino. Sometimes, it's connected to a museum. Downtown also has a group of buildings that look like a university. These buildings are next to the river.
Most of the time, I start out in the suburbs, driving through maze-like back streets. Shopping centers and gas stations are everywhere. The suburbs and downtown are divided by a railroad track, although I've never seen any trains go by.
Other times, I go towards the edge of the city(West), where the industrial park is. No foliage at all near it. Many abandoned silos and/or chimneys. On the west side of the industrial park is a vast desert, with an obligatory government base somewhere out in the middle of it.
To the North of the park is a dense forest, combined with both a swamp and another river. Occasionally, I find a castle or a shack deep in there, and both are obviously haunted. That's about it.

So one day I fell asleep listening to Dragonforce (I really don't care if they suck or not, so please don't tell me) and I proceeded to have the 2nd weirdest dream of my life. (The 1st weirdest will come later). My Dragonforce dream was an animated Dragonforce music video, where me and all of my friends had weird-ass superpowers, and we fought George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and my friend Thomas. I was working as a file clerk at the time, so my super-power was the ability to summon paper out of the air, and give people really bad paper cuts. My friend michael, who has like 3 potato cannons, sprouted said cannons out of his arms. And my girlfriend commanded an army of zombie squirrels.
The weirdest dream I ever had, I had when I was 7 years old. In the dream, I woke up in my house at sometime around noon (it was really bright outside) so I got up to look for my parents, but no one was there. My sister was gone too. And there was absolutely no sound. I couldn't even yell. And even though it was really bright outside, the shadows in my house were all really long, and sometimes I would see one move out of the corner of my eye. So I decided to leave the house to look around my neighborhood. I went to my neighbor's house, and their door was unlocked, so I went inside. Their house was filled with the same weird shadows, but for whatever reason, I went into their basement. There's a door in their basement that leads to a little workshop, but when I opened it, the inside was pitch black, even though I knew the room had windows. Then I turned around, and the shadows of everyone in my neighborhood were standing upright right behind me, and I could tell they wanted to kill me. Somehow I made it out of the house, and as I was running up the street to my house, I noticed that everything was in black and white. Then I began to sink into the pavement. I looked behind me, and the shadows of my neighbors were lurking everywhere there would normally be a shadow. Except now, they were shaped like wolves. In unison, they all charged at me, and then I woke up, sweating.
Thinking about that dream still scares me to this day.

I had another weird dream last night, and this is it, as far as I can decipher it, 'cause it was very confusing for the most part.
Okay, I'm in a hotel and there's a guy, who looks very similar to John Goodman looking for his shoe. He's panicky in the extreme, and I see his shoe lying on the floor, so I give it to him. He puts it on and rushes off without another word.
I find this very suspicious and follow him to a room in the hotel. The door is unlocked and I open it, to find the guy who was looking for his shoe beating a naked man tied to a chair with a bar of chocolate. Another guy, who I don't know but see regularly on the bus to school, bursts through a hallway and tells me to kick his ass, but the John Goodman-lookalike runs away before I get a chance.
I chase him, catch him, kick his ass, steal his clothes and look him into a small cabinet.
There was some more to it, I think, but it was really a very jumbled mess.

I had a very weird ream last night, and I dunno if I should worry about this, but I had a dream I was in a cave or something, and it was pitch black, the floor was cold and I couldn't get up. I woke up under my bed. This has to be a joke by my sister; I'm a very heavy sleeper, so it wouldn't be hard to move me without waking me. Dr. O: Yeah, my brother has played with me when I was sleeping too. This is what happened, according to him anyway:
I was sleeping in my bed, and my brother came into my room. He was bored, so he took a pillow and put it on my face. I kind of batted it off in my sleep, but he put it back on. This process was repeated a couple of times, until I, still in my sleep, punched him right in the face and then batted the pillow off. I kept sleeping, but my brother told me about it later, and we both thought it was funny, so good for us.

I had one hell of a nightmare last night. I was a little girl (not myself), and was standing outside when this other little girl came up behind me. She had just moved from China, I think, and she was wearing old-fashioned clothes and carrying pieces of toy train track. She said, "Do you want to play with my trains?" and when I turned around her face morphed from this normal kid-face into some terrifying lumpy stretched-out expression (not too different from the "black hole sun" video). I screamed and ran away, but she kept following me.
I ran home (in the dream I lived in a mobile home with a deck built all around) and hid inside. There were three doors...one on each end and one in the middle, and every time I looked out, there she was, standing in the doorway with that horrible smile. I'd scream and lock each one and she'd immediately be at another one. Then I peeped out a window and saw she'd laid down toy train track all around the house. Just as I was looking to see how far the train track went, she appeared in front of the window. "Do you want to play with my trains?" and then her face slowly stretched out again. Just as I was screaming and slamming the window shut, I woke up with my heart pounding.
I figured it was because I had read the spoiler for Shutter, watched a tv show where people were playing with toy trains, and right before I fell asleep I was watching Kill Bill v2 with the scene in the trailer.
Then when I fell back to sleep, I had a dream that I was in a parking lot that was completely coated in ice, cars included. People were falling left and right but it was like a party atmosphere. I was getting around by kneeling and pushing myself along with a stick. I passed one car and looked in the backseat, and Mitch Hedberg was in there doing drugs. He gave me the finger. I said "Okay, Mitch" and kept on going.
I have no idea why I would have dreamed that.

It varies on where my mind's at in waking life, but in general I rarely remember my dreams. A lot of people like that claim that they simply do not dream, but that's very rare and I have no reason to think that I lack a normal amount of REM. In fact, I deduced a while ago that I get more REM than normal based on remembering the act of dreaming, if not the dreams themselves, after very short intervals of sleep although it's typical for the brain to need 50 or more minutes to get into the dream state.
My biggest hangup with sleep is that since it's in my nature to think about stupid abstract shit all the time, I put myself to sleep with that act. However, as my brain slows down I start to draw weirder and dumber conclusions that tend to connect totally random things in weird relationships that make no sense. Frequently I'll come to such a stupid assertion that it'll click as such, and I'll go from practically unconscious to wide-awake in sudden anger at myself for having thought something so remarkably stupid.
In recent years, I've had the tendency of the ever-elusive lucid dreaming. When I was 10 I first read about it because it was a huge fad in the metaphysics scene at the time and everyone talked about how awesome and invigorating it was, so I trained myself somehow to do it. Since I rarely remembered dreams at all until I was 18, I had no way of knowing how consistent I was at this, but I'm pretty sure it did happen regularly. However, at 18 I was put on several different psychotropic medication combinations that caused me to have extremely vivid dreams. Often they were flagrantly counterfactual in one or many ways, but nevertheless extremely detailed. To show this off, I would look at extremely minute details in things and frequently read items with distinct fonts or handwriting*. In my dreams I could speak foreign or dead languages far better than when I was awake, and I'd wake up analyzing the grammar and vocabulary of my dreams to find it more precise than I'm normally able to produce. I've been told from numerous sources that dreaming in a foreign language is your brain's way of letting you know that you've acquired fluency, but I certainly don't think I have in any of them.
Within a few nights of my new wave of dreaming, I started having distinctly lucid dreams. Against the hype and such, those were incredibly miserable because my dreams would be more cheerful than real life and it was this realization that brought me to know I was dreaming at the time, so I felt depressed for wasting my emotions on a fabricated sense of reality. I'd quickly and intentionally wake up after that anyways.
Lately, even though I forget the details within an hour of being awake, I tend to dream that I'm a character in some elaborate fiction with a total detachment from my normal identity although they often incorporate details from my past.
Only in the past year have I regularly had sexual dreams, but these are always plot-focused and haven't been wet to my knowledge because I've never reached climax before realizing I was dreaming and waking up. Believe me, that TOTALLY SUCKS. My only sexual dream before this was similar in that regard, but uniquely prophetic in that it involved sex with a total stranger who, in fact, looked precisely like a total stranger I bedded a few months later.
Normally my dreams as of late are just plain stupid. The worst/weirdest dreams I've had revolve around my having a fever, which I guess is normal. What's bad about them, and I mean HORRIBLE, is that they usually involve me having to complete some task requiring impossible feats of mental calculation and memory. Like, one time I was an attendant at a turnstile and for some reason was required to memorize in rapid succession the name of the person walking through, a sequence of codes that somehow corresponded to a part of their genetic sequence, and their age. Within a few minutes I had to shout out a horrifically long code of all the people who had walked through to that point and divide some numbers arbitrarily thrown in for some reason. My brain was seriously overclocking and the heat it exerted was enough to wake me up.
*The discussion has come up at least twice here on whether or not it's possible to read in dreams. I think an episode of the old animated Batman from the mid-90s said it was impossible because of the brain's structure, but I certainly remember reading several times in dreams and I think others here have said they have as well. Sometimes I wake up distinctly remembering semiotic details, but other times I get the impression that I'd just be looking at printed material that was actually just visual gibberish and being implanted its meaning.

Ever had a dream where you wake up, then you wake up, and then you really wake up, but then you wake up again and it keeps going until you wake up for real and start hitting yourself to ensure you're not caught in some infinite piece of shit dream? That keeps happening to me.

The most painful and bizarre dream I had was getting chased by a rabid dog and waking up with my arms numb. I also had a dream I was eaten alive by a spider and woke up numb.
But other than those two, yeah my dreams have been like sitcoms of mediocrity (One where I was in a dream within a dream like South Park.) up until I quit McDonalds.

I once had a dream that I was an iPod shuffle. Everytime somebody touched me I'd be all "Here we go AGAIN!" and I would dance to this funky calypso music.
My best dream ever? I was in my backyard fighting an Apache helicopter! I was such a bad-ass, in the dream, I had duct-taped two handguns together. Awesome! That way, you can fire two handguns at the same time with only one hand. I don't know how the dream ended. If the pilot is reading this and is down to call it a draw, I'm cool with that.

I had a couple more goofy ones last night (pregnancy is great for making you crank out the weirdass dreams). Some I don't remember, but there was one...
I was in a German seaside resort. I know, I know. But somehow it was Germany and yet on a Caribbean-style beachfront. I was in a hotel room and mad because my boyfriend didn't want to go down to the beach, which was strangely beautiful and not at all crowded. Instead, I sat by the window and watched various strange things go by. There was a German Shepherd that was walking along with other animals riding on its back like it was a horse...smaller dogs, cats, and a monkey, I think. Then there was some sort of black dog that had a crappy canvas weather balloon strapped to it and it was just sort of floating along in the sky. Then I just sort of wandered the room and read the rules on the back of the door and listened to the maids out in the hallway.

I once had a dream that took place at my grandmother's old house. It has a large window in the living room that faces west so that when the sun sets the entire room gets flooded with light. In the dream, the sun had just fallen over the trees, and the sky was a pretty cascade of blue and purple and orange. As I was watching it set, suddenly, everything started to feel cold. I watched in horror as the sun continued to rise again, only instead of the sun, it was the disembodied head of a giant Cherokee chief in full headdress. He kept getting bigger and closer until finally he devoured me. :(

One time, I had a nightmare that revolved around me and my friends trying to solve a mystery, Scooby-Doo style. The mystery was about an undead horseman, who was just a skeleton in armor(the horse was normal, not undead). When we finally caught and unmasked the guy, someone said the cliche "Then who's that?", and my view shifted to the rightT he real horseman, who looked way more badass, cackled as his horse reared up and lightning struck. I nearly shat bricks upon waking up.

I had a dream about the Drowning Pool song "bodies" when I was younger. It was really annoying because the chorus never ended. I think it was around "56, nothing wrong with me. 57, nothing wrong with me. 58, nothing wrong with me." before I got sick of it and woke up.

When I was around seven or so, I had this odd-ass dream. I dreamt that I woke up, and my bed was in the middle of this enormous black room. All that there was in the room was myself, a bed, a door, and a lightswitch. There's this loudass humming noise, so I think, "Hey, if I flick off the lightswitch, the noise'll stop."
So I do it. And then this monster that's like half swamp-thing, half 10,000 volt ghost busts out of the door, screams at me, and chases me around my bed until I woke up.
Which was like 7 hours later.
Other than that, though, most of my remembered dreams are zombie survival type things.

I had a dream where I was watching this documentary/news report on TV and all it was, was a diver filming with an underwater camera in a murky river. Thousands of bodies in varying states of decomposition were floating by along with a lot of debris while several damaged World War Two-esque armored vehicles and tanks were pushed by the current along the river bed. I think that there was a greenish tint to the footage but I'm not sure. I have no idea what the heck was going on but damn, it would be a great shot in a movie.

I just had a dream that I missed my sociology class, so for some reason a friend and I went to my old high school where I got caught by skipping that same sociology class. My sociology teacher told me not to leave any of the school's windows open. When I asked why, she told me that there's a chance an animal like a cat or something could get in and mess the place up. I then walked out of the room and into the gym. There was a bunch of people playing floor hockey and out of nowhere, a cat came running out into the game and got hurt. A bunch of people were freaking out cause it was bleeding from its head. I was then grabbed by the arm and brought to a room where I had a band-aid sewn onto my finger because I won "student of the year." I asked if I got a prize. The nurse lady said no, but then I walked into a campus bar (at my old high school) and asked if I could get free drinks all night because of winning the award. They said yes so I started drinking and eventually my friend and I managed to piss a bunch of people off and we started getting attacked.
The end.
I have very bizarre dreams. I did end up sleeping through my sociology class though.

Wow, lots of bizarre dreams going on in this thread.
Most of my dreams (at least the ones I can remember) are pretty realistic and never too bizarre. The weirdest one that I can remember from my adolescence happened the night after I spent the day reading a large compendium of all the different animal species on Earth.
The book caused me to dream that I was in my house minding my own business when suddenly I notice something running around the backyard. I take a look out the window and see a little animal, probably the size of a small dog, running back and forth. But I soon notice that it's comprised of every single animal species on Earth, all mixed into one disturbing looking mish-mash of animal parts. As soon as I realized that, it attacked me, and I woke up.
That dream, for some reason, disturbed me for many weeks after.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a dream about going to an abandoned theme park (not a carnival) and visiting the water park portion of it. Nobody was working there, but, to my amazement there were still people riding the water slides. All the stairs leading up to the slides were torn down, so you had to climb up on top of the roofs of concession stands to reach them. The water still worked due to dream-logic, and it was one hell of a ride. After a few more slides, I went into a large building. From the looks of it, it was once a restaurant/stage, where you would watch a show. Back in one corner was an arcade, which still worked. The rest of the dream was just me playing racing games.

The craziest dream I had was like the movie Heavy Metal. Not in style just in the fact that there were multiple stories n' shit. The first one I was being chased by a dragon ball z action figure (Goku of course) and it kept wipping me with one of those jumpropes that has a bunch of plastic things covering the crappy string part so it hurt like hell. Then it changed to another dream where I got in a fight with a blue version of myself. For some reason the blue clone was able to extend their hands like Dhalsim from Street Fighter and started choking me so I bit the hand and woke up to find that I was biting my own hand. Then I went back to sleep and slept just fine.

I never have really vivid dreams, so I usually just remember certain parts of them.
You know Bubbles, from PPG? Well, in this dream I had recently, there were a bunch of them that were extremely tall and skinny, and they were all being taken to some kind of concentration camp in this white train. I was trapped on the train with them, and I remember my dream ending with one of them passing around blue pills, telling all of the Bubbles to swallow them, and then saying something like "We're going to make through this alive." Then there was a pale blue title card that said "The End", and I woke up.
Also, I had a dream where I was in the future, but I was the same age, and everyone traveled through tubes (kind of like Futurama). Everyone in my school had to go to this old rich guy's mansion and do work for him, like cleaning, cooking, etc. I was late once, and some really weird butler started yelling at me. Then we had to put on a play of "Oliver Twist" for all of his rich friends, and I had to play Oliver.
I have no idea where they came from.

I'm in a bathroom stall with a woman. I know there was something in the dream leading up to this, but I can't remember what. Probably not important. Okay, I've pulled down my pants and I'm starting to put on a condom, when the woman suddenly jumps (yes, jumps) out of the bathroom stall and the stall door opens. I had a horrible dream last week in which I was so out-of-my-mind depressed that I slit my wrists (down the road, not across the street) and I could actually feel the zings of pain...it was so vivid I woke up crying, a first for me since infancy, and I actually felt as if my arms hurt. I kept looking at them, expecting to see the same gashes I saw in the dream. It was pretty traumatic,
And then last night I dreamed I went to a yard sale run by this total bitch, every time I came upon something I was interested in, even if it was a ratty old children's book, she seemed to magically know and tell me that it was a thousand dollars or something. I finally rounded up some stuff I wanted that had all 20, 30-cent price tags on it and she told me my total was fifteen thousand dollars. I was so pissed that I left, and then my family plotted to blow up her car as revenge.

So I'm in Barnes and Nobles with my friend, and she's showing me some book, and this guy she used to have trouble with comes up behind her and starts raising a gun. She doesn't see him, so I shove her behind a bookshelf, and I get shot in the chest, stomach and arm, and I wake up sweaty, and I can barely breathe because my chest feels like it has been shot up. I don't plan on going to any bookstores, and she doesn't either, luckily. But they're really starting to scare me.

Just as he said that, the boat was pulled underwater and I said the squid.Right before the boat was swallowed whole by the squid, the squid let out the "Rosie O' Donnell laugh".

I found myself in hell. I walked a path of blood, there I saw a demon gathering the spirits of the annimals that had been sacrificed. He looked at me and pointed to the gates, "they have not yet appointed a place for you. But when they do, know that you shall know misery and sufferring." I asked, "why am I here?" He said, "because you are of the wrong tribe." I turned, and saw my own mother awaiting there as well.
I walked in a forest made of darkness. I came upon a brilliant light, it spoke to me. But I could not understand for its voice was but a whisper to my ears. There was someone there that let me know what it was saying. I grew angry for what was being said, I turned in my anger and began walking back into the forest of darkness. An arm was placed around me, and a voice said, "it will be okay."
I was walking home one day, I began to speak out at certain things. As I had passed a store, a man grabbed me up and pushed me down, "you are nothing but a communist!" I grew angry, but let it pass. I turned from him, as I did so, I saw the people of the town having a great celebration. But the banners that flew held upon them the insignia of the nazis.

So we ended up fighting off zombies in our bunker, until a week later i made it to my metal fabrication class room and took all the acetylene bottles and made bombs with them and water bottles, blowing our way out.

Perhaps. My dreams are almost always connected to whatever has been on my mind during the day. In my opinion, I think dreams are just your thoughts minus context. If I think of something whilst awake, I can guide it (sorta). I can imagine an exploding helicopter in a park. Easy. When asleep you can't control the context or the image, so it is made up of very random things.

I had a dream that had Harvey Keitel in it, but he had a moustache. And he was a spy, along with his partner, who also had a moustache. Then loads of shit happened. Including vampires sucking peoples blood in discos and being hit over the head with baseball bats. And then some more shit happened. Pretty confusing overall.

Get some cocoa because this may take awhile...I SAID GET SOME COCOA GODDAMMIT!!!
My friend has had a repeated dream since about a year and a half ago comprising of him being trapped on a plane that was crashing (everyone else on the plane is apparently nakid). When the plane actually crashes he somehow survives, but as he walks away the ground turns to some strange form of liquid and starts to swallow him. Right around when he's up to his waist some cackling old lady starts chanting "You killed them, you killed them all!!!" Also the area were he crashes is apparently some mix of the Twin Towers, Racoon city, and the Statue of Liberty (Planet of the Apes style).
I have had an annual (always sometime in May or June) dream since Pre-school that basically comprises of climbing stairs for what seems like eternity arriving in the Greek/Roman temple at the top, and finding an acient arcade in it, and playing in the arcade for a long period of time. The end is always similar yet different in that I always reallize i have to go back down and therfore jump/get catapulted off of the roof, but the landing part varies from depressing, to happy, to just plain outright total buff**kin nuts.
I (and most of my friends) have had several dreams that in some way predict what will happen the next day (however the predictions are always either totally random or just extremely vague/interperable).
I have had several dreams in which I realized I was dreaming, but i was still stuck in the total randomness of the dreamworld basically giving me the "wut the hell is this all about" feeling within the dream.
I have been in a dream in which I had almost complete control...but I'm pretty sure that was an extended day-dream during study hall.
Most everyone I know (or at least everone who didn't just dismiss me as being sleep deprived or something like that when i asked) have had very strange dreams because they fell asleep listening to music.
And at least one of my friends and I have reached what we can only refer to as the ultimate dreaming zen which would be being so tired that even though you're almost completely aware of your surroundings and are able to move, eat, carry a conversation, etc; everytime you close your eyes you start, stop, pause, play the same dream. This mostly happens during the middle of a sugar-fueled binge gaming session, but it has happened other times. Oh and you have a limited amount of control over your dreams.
I really hope that all of this isn't a showing of our mental states or of future events because in both cases I seem to be totally screwed; however if i had to choose I'd hope for future events because in that case at least I'd be able to take a few choice err...peers down with me.
In any case...

I had many, many very vivid and bizarre dreams last night, but the one that took the cake was the one where I was incarcerated in a reform school/mental hospital/orphanage. The dream started as I was being admitted and processed, with them allowing me to keep my trike and converting it to a hammock. I roomed with this one crazy chick I really, really disliked, and then somehow stepped up responsibility to be one of the people policing the floor I was on.
At one point a small boy was found dead in his bed with stab wounds. I somehow knew who'd done it, a teenage boy in another ward, and when I went there sure enough he'd tried to hide the boy's bloody shirt and sheets under his cot. The teenager told me nonchalantly that he'd found a bottle, broken it, and stabbed the boy with the pieces. For some reason, I wasn't scared of the guy. I just said, "You've really screwed up this time, now you're going to the maximum-security mental ward." He didn't seem to care.
As punishment or a way to spend our days, we were all told to move only forward down this eternal stone staircase. This was difficult because the staircase was literally piled with the children's books and toys that were familiar to all of us- somehow they'd gotten all our childhood toys and thrown them in there. If anyone stopped to examine one instead of promptly hopping one step forward when the command issued, they'd be sent back to the mental ward for some sort of further punishment.
One girl was Scottish and had six brothers who were made to constantly march past the building's grounds in their kilts and not acknowledge her. She'd be standing out there trying to get one to look at her and they'd just march past, over and over again, every day.
Beyond that, all I remember is people attacking me for whatever opinion I'd held, and me having to defend it, them threatening to send me to some worse level of punishment, and for some reason I was periodically wrapping chux (absorbent underpads for hospital bedding) around me as if they afforded some sort of defense.
Who needs drugs? Not me. Sometimes these dreams are so strange that I wonder if I've somehow crossed wires with someone else's dream, and that they're getting some sort of boring thing about my cats.

I went on to meet this pretty vampire who really liked The Who and was supposed to be this generation's messiah or something, and we went dicking around in Colombia fighting tigers
I don't know why. It was weird. Certain self proclaimed experts cite the vampire symbolism as someone I know being in a self destructive relationship, but as I have no friends I can't think of who that might be :<

Thanks in part to that pic in the chat thread, I had a fucked up dream about David Bowie.
I dreamed, among other things, that for some reason I had to hang out with him and I thought he was a loser (no stretch, I think that irl). At one point he was trying to teach me some card game I didn't care about and then I saw some closetful of women's clothing he liked to play dress-up in. I tried to piss him off by saying Iggy Pop had a better collection.
At one point I went into a public restroom where there was this awesome vending machine that took up a whole wall and sold food and souvenirs from 1995, but the place was really cramped and dirty. And there was a door to the outside, and when I went out, there was this beautiful creek scene with horses swimming. I took pictures and showed people various wildlife (like giant fishing spiders). Then I went around a bend in the creek and there were a bunch of half-submerged office copiers floating around.

My dreams are strange as well.
I had a dream (when I was six) that I heard something scratching outside my window. So, being brave, (because I was Superman) I decided to check it out by going into the kitchen and looking out the window there; which makes no sense, because my room was the farthest away from the kitchen, but whatever, it was a dream. I climbed up on the counter and peered out to see a massive army of Gremlins with glowing red eyes all staring at me. One of them ran up, climbed a convieniently placed ladder, and exposed his shiny white fangs to me, at which point I screamed and woke up.
When I got older, my dreams shifted into overdrive. One of the latest dreams I can remember involved zombies. I dreamed that zombies were everywhere, but they didn't attack everyone. In the dream, I was watching a news report that had a zombie represenative saying that they felt that their rights as a race were being neglected. At that point, the pundit running the show said, "That's because you're all fucking dead." The zombie proceeded to eat the guy's face and said "You need to be friends with zombies or else this will happen to you."
Then of course there's the dreams where I'm with a ton of naked chicks and Freddy Krueger shows up and we hang out; me, Freddy, and the naked boob-o-rama.

I've had lucid dreams since I was little (but of course I didn't know they were called "lucid dreams" back then)... I assumed everyone had them, but when talking about dreams with other people noone understood what I described. They thought I meant some kind of hybrid state between daydreaming and actual sleep... But when I have lucid dreams I'm always in a very deep sleep, have absolutely no sense of my body lying in bed. I just know on an intellectual level that this is the case, but I can't feel it; rather, if I lucid-dream I'm walking, it feels just like real-life walking, if I dream I touch something, it feels just like really touching something etc.
When I was still living with my parents I had one of those dreams. I thought I woke up and got ready for school, but then I noticed something or other wasn't right, and I eventually concluded that I wasn't awake after all, but was just having a lucid dream.
Then I became convinced that since I could so clearly feel that I was up and walking, I must be sleep-walking. So as an experiment I went to my desk, took a piece of paper and wrote "dream" on it.
Eventually I woke for real and went to the desk... but no paper with writing on it.
Later on other people have confirmed that I do just lie there like a normal dreamer when I have those dreams... so all the actions I perform are just in my head... but they feel as real as anything I do in waking life.
For a period of time, about a decade ago now, I was on quite a lot of psychofarmaka - neuroleptics and heavy tranquilizers. I would always have nightmares then, dreams like real horror movies, but even in sleep I was kind of drugged so nothing could scare me. I'd walk around among rotting zombies that wanted to kill me or whatever, and it would be lucid too (my undrugged lucid dreams are usually about very realistic stuff, but these were not). And I would think something like "Duh... I ought to be scared now... this is like a really scary horror movie... but I just can't be bothered to be scared...*sigh*".
When I had just started practicing for my driving license (pretty late, I was already thirty) I had weird dreams about this, not surprisingly since it was on my mind a lot. Once I dreamt that my sister, whom I was practicing with, had started to practice driving with my oldest dog too. He was gonna take a driving license as well. We had bought him his own car, and had it customized so that he could reach the pedals with his hind paws. Only it was hell trying to make him abide by the traffic laws, he'd drive like crazy. I clearly remember that the car we bought for him was a red Audi A3 from -95.
This is just a tiny sample though... I've had TONS of weird dreams during my life... and I usually remember them too.

I had a two-parter last night. The first involved my boyfriend digging up the backyard for something and suddenly my toilet and shower spewed dirty water. He and my dad fixed it by changing out the "sludge tank" on the water heater (???)
Then it changed into tv-show format and I was watching two teenagers on a platform. Some guy was speaking into a microphone and giving them medals, which they dropped into green army-canvas sacks they were holding. A voiceover explained that they did that because the medals were "heavy".
Then it was revealed that the teenagers were Ghandi and Osama bin Laden...supposedly before Osama went bad. They went around having all of these Dukes of Hazzard-style adventures.
Like once they got arrested, and told the officer they needed to go to the bathroom. For whatever reason, the officer let them go by themselves into a building and stayed in the squadcar. Of course the guys change into women's clothing and come right back out the front door, "Helloooooo, Officer." The officer doffs his cap and gives an aw-shucks grin, and Osama and Ghandi jump into a pick up truck and take off, yelling YEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
Last week I dreamed that I had to creep along a black metal roller coaster track that was suspended a foot above shark infested waters. I was able to disembark at my grandparents' house and thought I was safe, then a great white tunneled through the ground like Bugs Bunny and surfaced in my grandparents' living room.

2 years ago I had a really nasty falling out with my parents. A year passed by and I still haven't seen or even talked to my parents at all.
In my dream one day, I decide to surprise my parents by going home on leave unexpectedly. I walked into my dad's garage to see him working on his car. I tried to say hi to him but he ignored me.
I walked into the house and into the kitchen to find my mom doing the dishes. She turned around and gave me a blank stare. I smiled and said, "It's me, your son, WhiteRat." My mom turned back to the dishes as I repeated my greeting. After a few short moments she turned around, this time with tears streaming down her face and said, "Who?"
That's all I remember from the dream, but I felt so disturbed by it that a few days later I buried my ego and finally reconciled with my parents. I still vividly remember that dream to this day, even down to the clothes I was wearing in it.

i have a recurring dream where i am going about daily business and my teeth start falling out, i spit them out and it is the most real feeling i have ever had in a dream i could feel the teeth rolling around in my mouth.
I also had a fever dream when i was a kid that was lucid. I was in my grandparents yard and i realized that if i tried hard enough i could fly. So i try and try but the farthest i can get off the ground is about 6 inches. So i gave up and put my head in my hands and start crying. When i looked up i realized that i was hundreds of feet in the air. at that moment i remembered that people can't fly so i realized that it was a dream, for some reason this put an unholy terror in me so i tried real hard to open my eyes. i felt like i was waking up but when i did i was laying on the roof of a house, i looked around and i was surronded by roofs, they were compleatly covering a hill with no space in between them and ladders to climb higher, the terror comes back and i start running over the roofs i run and run and then realize that i almost woke up when i tried to open my eyes so i try again and this time i wake up in my bed. i was so realeved that i had to run and tell my family about my ordeal, i get to the kitched and immediatly somthing is off, i look around and realize that the entire kitchen is backwards. just then my dad walks in and he looks slightly off i realize that he has three ears on either side of his head, i scream and run to my bed room to lie face down in my bed till i wake up. My dream-dad walks in and asks me what is wrong, i look at him and go to say "this isn't real, this is a dream" but everytime i get to the word dream i lose my voice like "this isn't real, this is a dreeeahhhhh" my dad looks at me for a few seconds and then says "well, wake up then" and i wake up immidiatly. Later my mom told me that i was screaming and my dad went into my room to see if i was all right and he couldn't wake me up and they were getting very worried.

I had a dream last night that I was standing at the top of a long, steep staircase. And close behind me, almost close enough to make me lose my balance and fall backwards, was another identical long, steep staircase. On either one, the handrail didn't start till like halfway down, so I was just trying to balance between them. It looked like I was going to fall either way.
Then suddenly I was either in Vegas or Atlantic City (had elements of both). There was this crowded, county-fair atmosphere where they were trying to entice people into ridiculous games of chance. One was a kiddie pool with a round piece of plexiglass over the top. It was filled with thick rubbery plastic chips. You paid and reached in for a chip and it was supposed to have the symbol on it of whatever you would be arrested for someday. Like, I could see pictures of pot leaves printed on some. So I paid and reached in, thinking "Ha ha, I've never been arrested, I'll show them" and I pull out a chip with a picture of a lobster on it. I say, "What the hell? A lobster? How can I get arrested for lobster?"
http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn199/kitsa_for_imockery/lobstertoken.jpg
So I'm all pissed and I walk away, and this woman is following me. She looks like Tony's sister from the Sopranos. She's watching the front pocket of my hoodie and I realize that she saw me pull money out of it to pay the lobster-chip guy. She tries to tackle me and reach into the pocket and I somehow beat the everloving hell out of her.
The rest of the dream was short, tv-like clips of bad stuff happening in this Vegaslike environment. Hugh Hefner's old girlfriends were staying at the Luxor (that big glass pyramid one) and Bridget's cat got out the window. It was jumping around and they were trying to coax it back. At one point it jumped within reach, and just as they reached for it, it jumped away from them again and slid to its death. The screen froze and something stupid like HASTA LA VISTA #2 appeared in yellow 80s font in the corner.
I have no idea what brings these on, although the stair thing was probably just my gimp-anxiety (forced into a dangerous situation, with safety out of reach).

I've had some weird dreams, usually because I had a habit of eating right before I went to bed. I haven't been doing that lately so I haven't been having many dreams lately.
One of my odder ones that I remember was one where I was a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. For some reason, the Fellowship thought that the One Ring could be destroyed by throwing it into any fire, so they found a camping fireplace in my attic with a fire burning in it and decided to toss the Ring into there. Just before they threw it in, I suddenly remembered that there were too movies left to go (it was like we were in the movie) and so the Ring couldn't be destroyed now, or what would we do in the next two movies? Just after I thought that, they discovered that the Ring could only be destoryed in the fires of Mordor, so we all got up to go there. And that's where my dream ended.

I don't know if this is already in the thread, but this is the one I remember with great vividity.
I was just completely pissed at someone for something or another. I just remember I had to get away. I took my bike out into the night. The moon was incredibly bright and made the clouds a light orange color, kinda like a lightning strike does, only it was constantly this way. I'm crying, but it's hard to distinguish the tears from the fat droplets of water now pouring from the sky. It's very hot, but I just keep going away. As I'm rolling across an overpass, the highbeams of a pickup cut onto me. I move as far over to the left as I can, because I thought it was safe. The fucker sideswipes me and sends me over the k-rail. The fall didn't kill me, being only about a fifteen foot fall, but the semi coming did.

I've beaten Legend of Zelda: A link to the past in my sleep when I was younger. I woke up with the credits scrolling and my little brother was cheering me on. My brother and I did not get along whatsoever at this point in me life. He told me he was watching me play and I beat Gannon. I told him I just woke up because otherwise you would not be sitting next to me without a face punched in.
About six years ago I fell asleep while playing Xenosaga: Episode I while fighting an optional boss. I remember having 25% of her health down and I had already been fighting her for 40 minutes. I woke up the next morning with the "Battle won" screen on.

Oh yes, I recently had a very odd dream, possibly because of the anahistamine I took for my cold before going to bed:
The dream had a couple of parts to it. The first part was that I was riding the train home from college and it was going across a hill overlooking a town. A friend of mine was walking down the hill as the train passed. She saw me and ran after the train, waving.
The second part was that I was somehow in the book Pippi Longstocking (don't ask) and was going to attend a wedding. I suddenly realized that I had no dress to wear to the wedding and tried to explain to the other people (who only spoke English as a second language) that the other times I went to weddings, I wore a skirt (I've never actually been to a wedding before)
The last part was that an online community I belong to was real and I was in it with everyone else. There was some kind of baseball tournament going on and there were sign-ups for it. The thing I wanted to sign up for though was a White Elephant event. The dream cut forward to the evening, when the White Elephant event was starting. I somehow had a beautiful ring with pearls on it in my hand, which I turned in as my White Elephant item. I was then told to pick an item. The room was filled with gorgeous satin boxes all decorated. I chose a box that was shaped like Aladdin's lamp. Inside it was a music box that was shaped like a teacup on a saucer. When it played, the teacup slowly spun around the rim of the saucer. The music box was white enamble with rubies and was so beautiful. I was worried by now because I was expected home and my parents didn't know where I was at. I found some friends that I came with and we got home by riding Clifford the Big Red Dog (I told you it was a weird dream)

Whenever I take antihistamines, I always wake up in the middle of the night, freaked out, terribly shaken, and covered in a cold sweat, but I never know why. A few years ago, when it first happened, my mom came into the kitchen sitting on the bar stool with my knees tucked into my chest, freaking out because I didn't know why I was so freaked out.
So now I just tough my colds out.

A few nights ago, I dreamed that I went walking to an IGA (which, in my experience, was always a dirty little itsy-bitsy country grocery store, although I know there are bigger ones). I knew right where it was and everything.
So I go, and for whatever reason I'm not at all surprised to walk in and find it to be a small, dusty room. It's more like a dingy indoor flea market than a grocery store, and the perimeter of the room is ringed with people who are seated around dirty card tables, smoking and sneaking looks at me. I look around and find, to my dream-delight, a bunch of my most beloved 80s toys, mint in package.
So I gather as many as I can in my arms and take them to the ugly, surly-looking checkout lady. I reach in my pocket for money and find I have none. I'm about to ask her if she can hold the items until I can find my money, when I notice the pile is missing some things. I whip my head around and see some of the toys being hoarded on the card tables by people around the room. In the dream, I am absolutely sure that this is because they figured the toys were worth something and stole them from my pile.
I hand the toys to the checkout lady and run out the door, supposedly to get home and get my money. But when I go outside, everything has changed. The road I used to walk to the store is no longer there, and in its place is a dusty trail that leads off into some cliffy wilderness. There's a sign that says INDIANA DUNES 10 MI.
Uh, ok, I think. I used to live near there, I kinda know where that is. So I set off that way, only to be diverted into some sort of sparkly sandstone cave that travels up the side of a cliff. Rocks are falling on me and I find a big stone garbage can that I somehow upend and wear over my head to protect me. So I'm creeping through this cavern with a stone garbage can over my head, up this sandstone trail.
I end up in some sort of giant waste-management center. It's like a large square gymnasium. I walked in the door, still crouching with the stone trashcan on my head, and up a long staircase by a window. I put my hand down on a windowsill to support myself and hundreds of spiderlings crawl out around it. I yank my hand away and proceed up the staircase, arriving at the top to find the room full to the ceiling with discarded plastic garbage cans. And there are spiders all over the place, every type of spider.
The bf is there and says he can get rid of the spiders. And I don't remember what he did, but out of nowhere there appeared thousands of cats, who just stood there Care Bear Stare style, and the spiders were all herded to a table in the middle of the room.
I woke up, but I was pissed that I never got back to the store and got my mint-in-box toys.

Oy, I hate those dreams. I've had dreams where I've found proof of UFOs or won a talent show contest or solved a video game mystery (like actually getting the pet owl in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life) and I'll be all happy and think "Yesss!!!" and then I wake up. >:
Oh, and I had this really sad dream two nights ago. I dreamt that it was like I was rewatching a movie or rereading a book. There was this woman who I kept thinking in my head was named "Fantine". For some reason, she was accused of being a traitor (to the US I suppose) and was going to be arrested. As a result, she was forced to go into hiding. She went back to her home, which was decorated for Christmas (apparently in my dream it was before Christmas). Her mother was in the kitchen, cooking something. Fantine kept telling her mother that she was going to be taken away for something she didn't do, but for whatever reason, her mother didn't seem to notice this or be bothered by it. Without her mother paying any attention, Fantine packed up all of her things. She also pulled the presents to her from under the tree and packed those up. She decided to never unwrap them, but save them as a memory of her last Christmas with her family.
That was when I started crying in my sleep and woke up.

Several years ago I had a dream where I got a severe injury to my arm. This revealed that underneath a thin flesh layer I was actually a robot, sort of like terminator. I was thrilled at this discovery, and thought it was so terribly cool that I was actually not a boring old human being but some kind of android. And then I woke up and was really disappointed.

I've had dreams that I was a werewolf and that I was in superhero tv shows (like Street Sharks). I sympathize.
Oh, and interesting fact: Our brains can't actually tell the difference between real situations and dream situations. That's why we feel effects from our dreams after we wake up.
Example - I've had two dreams in which I was slashed with a knive down my arms. I work up with those exact parts of my arms tingling.

I had a really weird dream today.
It was total Elizabeth Bathory weirdness.
Me and these other two chicks were killing people to look young again.
And everytime the blood "wore off" the worse we'd look so we had some elaborate scheme on how to hunt and trap people involving the mall near closing time.
Eventually we ended up at a party so we all had to get ready and we trapped a bunch of girlscouts and put their blood in flasks to carry around so we didn't have to kill anyone at the party.
Well at the party the blood flasks broke somehow so we had to hide and kill people there anyways.
I also remember seeing fireworks somewhere in there.

Last night: I dreamt that I was going down this street full of yard sales and somehow I wound up in a back alley (where Will Smith was jogging!) There was some set up tent that was some weird underground lab. I entered and was kidnapped and forced to prove to this one female scientist (and my brother, who apparently worked there) that I wasn't a spy. This was somehow proven through me filling out a checklist of tv shows I watched. I was then fitted with some weird muzzle/gag while it looked like they were going to let me go. My dream ended with me thinking, "My mom and dad are going to wonder why I've got this muzzle on me..."
I guess it comes from something my mom said, about how in books or movies kids go through traumatic things but can't say anything because they shouldn't have been in such situations in the first place.

The other night I had kind of an entertaining one. I usually watch my dreams happen like movies, I almost never participate, so it was fun to join in on this one. I worked (?) in this big, dark office building that was all bare concrete, like a parking garage. My job consisted of sitting in an office with the lead singer of some popular band...can't remember which, but it's not one I usually listen to...telling him why the song was good or bad. He seemed to value my opinion, but whenever groupies showed up I was expected to leave so that they could service him and the band.
So I was telling him that his music was easy to listen to, but not easy-listening (???), and some groupies showed up, and I got up automatically to go. I walked out, and there were all of these little starts of hornet nests about every 10 feet along the ceiling in little nooks and crannies. Everyone else was working, seemingly oblivious, even though I could see hornets crawling around in the nests. I was trying to draw peoples' attention to them, but they didn't seem to care. Finally, I called out, "Where is Amy?", looking around for someone I went to school with in elementary school. The girl stood up from behind a desk, someone I honestly haven't given any thought to in almost twenty years, a full adult version of what I remembered in school. For some reason, we got a large janitorial trash cart and we were pushing it down the hallway. After that, nothing more happened with the hornets.
The last thing I remember in the dream is stopping at the end of the hallway, where there was a water cooler. Some people were standing around talking, and someone ran up to report that Pat Benatar had been shot dead while on her way to a relative's funeral. Everyone looked at one another quietly for a moment, then someone said, "Well, they say love is a battlefield."

My father is currently in the ICU with what we think is paratinitus (sic?). Since my mother had been up for about twenty hours, I stayed at the hospital so she could get home for some rest. While I was there, I went over to the emergency room lobby to get a soda, and they had it completely locked down; no one in, no one out. They even had armed guards outside the tape; all they would tell me was that I and the patients were safe, no matter how much I asked them.
So whenever I'd fall asleep that night I kept having nightmares of zombies and necromorphs.

Dreamed about being kidnapped by Blackbeard and forced to work on his ship. We went into different towns and did all the nasty things that real pirates did. Robbing, killing, he's raping women, I'm bringing them to him, we're all drinking, drinking, drinking. The crew is relaxing in the hideout when the damn cops (yeah the ones on Fox) finds us through the canine unit. I can hear the theme music playing in the background as we start to panic.
Dogs are barking, guys are yelling, tear gas comes flying into the window. Everyone runs out the front door except Blackbeard and me. We go out through a "secret trapdoor". Who knew? We try to sail off in a smaller boat, but we are captured by Hulk Hogan. He says, "it's time for justice, brother!" Then he grabs the both of us and slings us over his shoulder.
We stand inside a courtroom with Judge Stone from Night Court and Phyllis Diller as our lawyer. All she does is her laugh as we try to plead our innocence. We are pronounced guilty and are walked out to the gallows which has Elvira cracking jokes about how soon we'll be well hung. HA HA.
I reach into my pocket and I try to get away by using a rubber chicken. But Sally Struthers eats it and I then feel the rope about my neck. The log they stand me on gets kicked away and all is darkness.
I woke up in a pool of sweat. I looked in the mirror and I had pink marks on my neck, I must've scratched myself or something. Weird.

Monday morning, I had this dream that I was on my college campus on a day I had no classes. For some reason, my face had these blue streaks/marks on it and I was going into a store for some face cream. I was also considering going into a Toys R Us to get a Christmas present for a girl that I was friends with, despite the fact that I knew that Christmas was weeks ago.
Then, I glanced at my watch and realized (A) it was 12:57, (B) I had a date with my boyfriend at 1:00, and (C) it was an hour's commute from campus to my neighborhood. Dream ended before I actually left.
Also, I can't remember how, but I'm fairly certain that Beowulf somehow fit into the dream. I honestly can't remember how though...

I dreamed, once again, that I was in a shopping mall. I'm sure many fascinating things happened but I've forgotten the majority of them.
Anyway, I was going up on an escalator (one of two "up" escalators that fed the top floor of this big department store) and I noticed that everyone around me was dressed in formalwear. I was puzzled about that, until we surfaced at the top floor and I saw a sea of round tables covered in mauve damask tablecloths and realized that the top floor had been rented out for some sort of wedding reception. I think I changed into formalwear and tried to fit in.
Then at one point I was down in another store that was a chain of dim rooms that appeared to be storage (for bar items like stools and old arcade consoles). I waited with other people for a turn at trying something really, really cool. It was some sort of thing you sat in and it carried you around, like a chair with robotic spider legs. Only the person ahead of me went into the room and didn't come back out...they were hogging it.
I also went into a petstore in the mall and they had the most beautiful bunnies, brown spotted with white like fawns. That must have been the Tadao part of my dream.

Ugh, I hate boring dreams. I've had several, all of which usually end with me thinking "I can't believe this! I'm dreaming. I shouldn't have to put up with this!" Usually, those dreams involve me being in school/doing homework.
Once, I dreamt that I was in my tenth grade health classroom at about six o'clock in the morning. I was sitting backwards in a chair, extremely tired and trying to fall back to sleep. There was also some weird reddish tint to the dream.
Once, I had a dream that I was lying on a sofa in my violin teacher's living room, still in my pjs and everything. My instructor was having a group lesson (when he gets all of his students to practice together) and everyone else was standing by their music stands, violins under their arms and staring at me. My instructor scolded me for sleeping and had me recite over and over this line from the book Freaky Friday ("An old rag to do the breakfast dishes in, a skirt to go to the store in, a dress to go to lunch in, pants to go to the park in, and velvet with rhinestones to go to dinner in. If you count in and out of your nightgown twice, that makes six changes. What a bore!")

For some reason, I'd wake up whenever he asked a question and I knew he had just asked a question, but I thought that he was asking about something that pertained to whatever I was dreaming (for example, I was dreaming about garden gnomes at one point, so when he asks the question, I thought the question was about garden gnomes). When I got inside, I noticed that there was a boy and a girl being held in a different room in stocks. Apparently the girl (who was actually Lori, from the show Big Wolf on Campus) had tried to sneak into the dance and the boy was locked up for trying to help her.
Somehow, I was able to telekenetically open the stocks for them, but whenever I tried to mentally control the guard into not seeing them leave, it wouldn't work. Three times I tried this. The third time, I demanded that the guard let them come into the dance with me. For some reason, he said they could.

I can't remember the particulars of it, except that Elton John suffered from major depression and would only leave his house once every few months, and when he did there would be a big festival and fundraiser and there was dancing in the streets.
Sounds pretty realistic to me.

In Psychology class, I fell asleep during the note taking. I had that dream feeling where you think you're falling, so I woke up with a grunt, and for some reason THREW myself as hard as my unconscious body could straight into the girl next to mine's desk, knocking her and her desk a good four or five feet to the left, while I'm trying to cover my huge goose egg, trying to figure out what the hell just happened, and screaming 'OW! OW! OW! WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?!'
Ironically, this was during the sleep disorder chapter.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, this has happened to me a few times before this, in my freshman and sophomore years. I must be a sleep retard.

Did the teacher somehow work that into the lecture? I used to fall asleep in my high school Psychology class, but that was because he'd show a ton of videos. Some of them weren't too boring, but I still fell asleep (I really wish I'd have stayed awake for the one with the guy who had a stroke and thought he was God, for example). We also had our unit on sleep/sleep disorders the same week as the Prom. This was funny because my high school's Prom went from about ten at night to five in the morning, which meant that we had to turn nocturnal there for a bit.
In Philosophy, I went into the weird half asleep-half awake state I told about earlier (where I can still hear the teacher, but it's like I'm in a totally different scenario). I woke up because I heard my own snoring. It wasn't very loud, thank heavens, and no one seemed to have noticed.

Had a strange dream the other night where i was skating (i cant skate to save myself) but was in a tony hawk game situation where i had to grind a handrail the entire length, and when i went to do it the balance bar came up and it was like i had the perfect balance cheat on until i had to land it, i fell off and i lay there for what seemed like ages but i couldnt get up. I then went back to "my" car for some reason i was driving a land rover, but when i got to it it had been attacked with bats or something, there was no glass and the roof was caved in, i decided to drive it but when i started to drive it , the steering column extended vertically so i was hanging by the steering column and still driving, after a while i was at this vet/perscription place where a woman came up to the counter and said she wanted some bowel blockers while tapping her head, and then this lady was trying to sell me this cat pill which made the cat happier, and then i woke up

She got startled and said 'See how these sleep disorders can work out?' or something to that effect. I'm not entirely clear; I was still a little asleep, and definitely shocked.
