Playing Silent Hill 0rigins and GTA Vice City Stories has given me hope for the future that I may one day be able to play FF7: Crisis Core or Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles without having to go out and blow money on a PSP.

Do ports of these seem likely? Or even possible? :(

Nope. I don't believe those are likely.

I don't understand why they're still making PSP games.

I mean, who has a PSP?

I do, Andy Rooney.

every time I see a PSP, it's in the hands of a wanna-be thug.

So I don't understand why they even bother releasing anything other than def jam, madden, and GTA games on those things.

Yeah because only thug niggas want to play GTA. Excuse me, I have to go listen to the album "www.thug.com" by Trick Daddy.

I think you are confusing effect with cause.

YA CAN'T TAKE THE EFFECT, AND MAKE IT THE CAUSE

Now Playing - Track 2 "For the Thugs"

I won't derail this any futher so I will say that VCS was somewhat disappointing. Sure, it was nice to be back in Vice City and the soundtrack was great but the city seemed dead when compared to VC. There seemed to be less traffic, pedestrians, and a general "city" atmosphere.

I hope this gimmick sweeps the forums off it's feet.

Yeah, I'll go ahead and play my Syphon Filter and Loco Roco and Patapon and Pursuit Force and Valkyrie Profile and I'll just hate them sooooo much. I'm sorry, Choge and GW, but I'm a masochist.

Also, I want it on the record that you guys busted in here with your off-topic talk. Not that it'll actually count for anything.

i think that when the game sells less than expected they make a port but i think ff VII is the best seller on the psp so maybe the port is a no no

Fathom Zero
Apr 18th, 2008, 09:04 PM
I dunno about that. Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and GTA: Liberty City Stories sold extremely well.

ok then i don't know what a game needs to be ported

Emu

I'd think they'd port the more popular games as a profit maximizing technique. If it sold well on the PSP, it'd probably sell better on the PS2, because vastly more people own PS2s than PSPs, and you know there are fags out there who would buy both.

i would expect crisis core to get ported, and the new god of war as well. the psp is selling like crazy right now, it's actually to the point of being neck and neck some weeks with the ds in japan. The problem is how easy it is to hack. Piracy is killing game sales, the first week god of war was out one torrent site had over 100,000 downloads :X. Just about big game will be ported just to recoup the development costs

If they would actually finish the good PSP games, instead of letting them fall into development hell or cancellation, the PSP would be a great hand held. Seriously, I want a new Earthworm Jim, and Landstalker game so bad.

I doubt they'll port many games to PS2 but I wouldn't be surprised if they offered them as DLC on PS3.

Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror was good.

I was thinking about that. They'd make a nice sum if they offered up Twisted Metal Black.
