A jet to go pick up his boots?! Fucking tax money is a joke. My Royal Marine buddy was telling me a story of how his unit managed to take over an extremist base but had to ditch it because they couldn't get any backup to secure it in time. So basically, they risked their lives and wasted resources for absolutely no reason.
The article says it costs £15,000 to run that helicopter for an hour. The average salary in the UK (according to ONS) is approx. £22K. A Gross salary of £21,900, less tax of £3400 and NIC of £1837, gives a monthly net of £1388.
So, running the helicopter for ONE HOUR costs the annual tax of FOUR average tax payers. William's stunt cost £30,000. That means that 8 people paid taxes for a year to help Prince William get some poontang.
In other news, a 75 year old woman goes to jail because she can't pay a £53 council tax bill.
