I just beat it!

I didn't really like the ending, but probably just because I was very, very tired of watching cutscenes and just really really wanted to take a shower.

I had this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpPH7deyMRI) playing on my iPod throughout the entire game, and it just made me love it even more.

BreakIn City should have been on there.

That sounds like a really shitty Eurovision entry from, like, Croatia or somewhere.

I have nothing but criticism for this game.

this game is wonderful, although, even as a fan of the series i get way too anxious during cut scenes. everything is just a bit too slow for me

Watching people talk during the cutscenes was off-putting, the mouth movements scare the shit out of me.

I can go through most of the game just killing EVERYBODY.

I can go on, but I've gotta go to work. I'll voice my other insignificant frustrations later.

just finished this game, and i loved it, but the weapons system seems way too intricate than necessary, and the mantis doll thing seems a little too far off the realism edge. i know there are a lot of supernatural elements in the mgs series, but the fact that snake, you know, someone who doesn't possess any magical powers, could use the doll against mantis seems very silly. i don't think mantis dolls are manufactured with buttons for the everyday human to use :x

oh, and the beauty and the beast boss fights were lame as fuck compared to mgs1 boss battles. they were all just fight robot suit that either barely takes damage from anything or dies in a couple hits, the woman inside cries and feels bad :( then turns and feels the exact opposite, and you kill her easily. repackaged boss fights i guess :(

speaking of mgs1, did anyone else notice that this game pretty much referenced so many events from mgs1, but no other games? the final fight with liquid goes through all of the solid games, but i feel like there were no other mgs2 or 3 references throughout the game. i don't mind because mgs1 is my favorite, but it was just a little stange

i have to get back to work :x

Yeah, you can't have more than one spoiler per post. It spazzes out.

You can see what the broken spoilers say by quoting him :eek

It works, but you have to number them, I fixed it in the quote.

The Laughing Octopus fight was sad. I didn't get to play much more than after Snake trails resistence dudes around, but I hope the rest of the boss fights don't suck as bad.

i'll edit that post and fix it, woops :x

octopus' boss fight is the only one i really enjoyed; raven's is alright, wolf's sucks, and mantis' sucks :(

I haven't finished the whole game yet but, octopus fight was weak as hell. It took me a whole 5 minutes to beat the pants of this broad, and it took about 14 minutes for her to slime around in the ectoplasm when she lost her arms.

that and tracking the resistance dude took so long and was annoying as fuck.

edit: I also do not like every magical thing that happens in the story as being written off as nano machines at work.

it's at least a somewhat plausible explanation for them

because of all the work they put into recreating shadow moses, they should re-release mgs1 with mgs4 graphics and gameplay, because that was definitely the best part of the entire game. ;D

I am not down with stealth camo getting harder and harder to get in each of the sequels. Some of the most fun in mgs1 was beating the game to get a stealth suit and attaching a c4 on a patrol guard. I don't appreciate having to shoot frogs or not sound alerts or get dog tags or some shit like that

also snake has used the same "NAOMI!" sound bite like each one of the 12 times she's changed sides.

MGS4 was very good but I don't know... I think I'm getting tired of playing MGS games. Good timing I guess..

this is the first of the series I actually sat down and played through, I thought it was slow but good
