In the state of George a few men claimed they have found bigfoot, have his dead body in a cooler and know where the bigfeet nest is.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/08/15/bigfoot.body/index.html

Reading through they said that they weren't looking for it and wouldn't know how to look for it whatsoever even if they were. They just stumbled upon it. After first thinking they're lying I thought "Hey, what if they're not lying"

What if some other people were planning on dressing up like bigfoot, then parading around for some of their friends to get exclusive footage. Then all of a sudden these fools came in, shot the people and thought it was the real bigfoot.

Since when is Bigfoot found in Georgia?

They moved there after the Bigfoot / Sasquach debacle of 1994

So they tested Bigfoots DNA and it came back 96% human and 4% opossum. This only makes me worry more.

So... this is there alibi for killing there friend? "Oh i have it! We can clue a bunch of possum hair on him and say we found big foot while out hunting! Yea! No one will suspect a thing!"

They apparently put him in a bigfoot costume first.

Well, its been revealed as a hoax, obviously, but I think that they might exist. Jane Goodall, the foremost primatologist in the world, thinks its within the realm of possibility, and there are large areas of the United States and Canada which are still wilderness, big enough for it to roam.

*shrug*

I stopped listening to Jane Goodall once I heard what she did to Mel Silverback.

It's not her who I was thinking of. Is there a Diane Fossey?

Diane Fossey was murdered with a machete TO THE FACE because she hung out with gorillas. :(

Dian Fossey = Studied gorillas, head split open with machete, probably by Rwandan poachers

Jane Goodall = Studied chimps, alive and well

It saddens me to think that every time we in the South try to break stereotypes, someone from Georgia does something like this.

The bigfoot story. Bigfoot sightings/hoaxes are up there with UFOs in redneck country.

You'd think someone who was a cop would have better sensibility than that.

A friend of mine was driving home from band practice and ran off the highway and freaked out because he saw a UFO. Turns out it was a WWE SummerSlam blimp.
This is Cackalacky for ya.

I really want Bigfoot to be real, but skepticism takes hold til DNA evidence is presented.

If you Google the perpetrators names you can see that they've hoaxed before. Because of that I wasn't holding out much hope when these douchebags made the claim. I hope they at least gave back the money they made off of it and paid back the money it took to attempt to validate their claim. I'm glad the cop got fired though.

I hate when people fake things like this. Because there's just as many sightings that are unexplainable with people telling the truth and if idiots lie about it, the rarer cases are ignored.

Jimmy Carter saw a UFO once. He was also attacked, while fishing, by a large swimming rabbbit (which is apparently a real breed of rabbit).
