We lack real pawnshops, but being next to the military base, we have dozens and dozens of military surplus stores.
I entered one, and they where selling 50 pound Bomb casings.
The kind they dropped en masse during WWII.
Found also a Vietnam era machette, AK-47 clips, dummy practice grenades, mock training rifles, kevlar helmets, used gillie suit, hellva lot of rifles, a marine sword, commando knives, and stuff that looked like loot from around the world.
I going to buy one of them bombs when I can scrape enough money together.

I bought a vietnam era flak jacket and a SWAT tactical load-bearing vest and a MP retractable baton at my local surplus store (though the only thing used was the flak jacket)
I got a super good deal because the buddy thought I was a Canadian Ranger (not a park ranger) for some reason and gave me 50% off everything.
I have no military experience at all :)

I doubt it. People that frequent pawn shops arn't the type to use a computer. Or have a credit card.
If it's anything like my city, its for getting some money for crack after throwing a shopping cart through someones window with crack withdrawl stregnth and cleaning out thier house.

it used to be that one could visit a pawnshop and find all sorts of stompboxes, guitars, etc...now it's all online.
