I'm very sorry to have to report that the M-16 wielding space alien known only as "The Commander" was fatally shot in Iraq early this morning during a covert operation in the city of Ar Ramadi.

The Commander had been using a highly sophisticated alien plasma cannon while fighting earlier this week in Fallujah.

However, the Commander exhausted his supply of plasma fuel cells during the fighting and was forced to use Earth weapons with which he was somewhat unfamiliar.

The Commander appears to have been frantically attempting to clean his M4 rifle when he was shot.

The Commander was able to take out several enemy troops with his M9 pistol (which you can see is locked back empty) before he was shot.

It is still unclear whether the weapon malfunctioned, or whether The Commander failed to maintain the weapon properly. An investigation is underway to resolve these questions.

The Commander displayed unparalleled bravery in combat and his heroic sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Belly monster, you are so full of shit.
Sorry i'm a Gun freak :(

If the MP5 was developed from the WW2 MG60's would i say the SWAT team invaded a small suburb house in a drug raid all wielding heavy machine guns?

I thought it was the M-4...

The M4A1, or otherwise aka, M-15 A4 Carbine, was developed during, I believe, the Vietnam War, something with more power then a Sub, but less bulky then a M-16. It was used mainly by the Airborne.

Now, I could be wrong, for I only consider myself a gun Newbie.

Ok...

I suppose I should've referred to it as an M4 the entire time (in order to be consistent as far as the silly little fiction piece I made up) ...but to be absolutely accurate, the gun pictured is a Bushmaster XM-15 E2S M4 type carbine.

The M4 is basically an M16 with a few minor differences (shorter barrel, collapsible stock, etc.)

The analogy of the MP5 and MG60 is a stretch at best.
