Does anyone else want Night Court on DVD?

MrAdventure
Jun 5th, 2004, 12:06 PM
I think it would be really nice if Night Court was available on DVD!

MrAdventure
Jun 5th, 2004, 12:10 PM
If Night Court came out onto the DVD format and I found it available for sale, I would buy it!

I remember that episode where "Bull" Shannon had a list of things that he wanted to do, and one of the things on his list was to perform a miracle! (The other was to also call himself, but it was always busy! Lol!) Anyways, it would have been awesome that instead of turning Judge Harry T. Stone's armadillo "Clarence" into a real armadillo that "Bull" Shannon had put Night Court onto DVD so that I could buy it! Perhaps for Father's Day? (My father really loves Night Court!)

Night Court was boss, I'd buy it.

How can you not like it. People love court shows, and it was at night, which added to the sexiness of the show. Night Court!

Thanks for that great reasoning behind making a purchase of the Night Court DVD Collection ProfessorCool!

What are we waiting for everybody? Let's try and figure out the funniest episode of Night Court so we can all skip right to it when we get the Night Court DVD Collection! Just kidding about that! I know that even the worst Night Court fan would be upset to watch it any way other than in chronological order!

THE JUDGE ALWAYS HAD BLACK KIDS WITH HIM AND WAS ALWAYS ALL LIKE "LETS GET YOU TO A GOOD HOME" :lol :lol :lol

I loved Night Court, and I want it to be on DVD too, MrAdventure.

I hated Roz though, she was supposed to be all badass but we never saw why, so I guess it's because she's fat and black.

MrAdventure
Jun 5th, 2004, 05:12 PM
That's a most excellent point Jixby Phillips!

You see folks, the entire series of Night Court, while a comedy, was not afraid, not in the least, to touch on those subjects nearest to our hearts.

Whether dealing with the serious considerations of sexual harrassment that Christine Sullivan felt, or the constant workplace danger of having your lunch stolen by local scheming D.A. Dan Fielding, Night Court marked itself a place in history by combining joviality with morality.

You see folks, if Night Court happened to be a religion, why, I would convert myself and *still* pay to get the entire Night Court DVD Collection!

Thanks everyone!

MrAdventure

I'm glad to know that you support the Night Court to DVD idea, Daphne!

As Daphne said, even the best shows have things we may not like, or perhaps even understand! You see, Roz is a descendant of the past stereotypings of the modern black person. She is, more specifically, a post-Mammy. With little or no sexuality, and a relatively motherly demeanor, she has a taken a "Rosie the Riveter" stance of masculinity! Darn those men that think they're so tough! Lol!

So, whether she's stuck in an elevator with two Sumo wrestlers, realizing that she's been stricken with diabetes, or catching Dan Fielding in the act, she'll always remain a lovable symbol of subtle racism and a most excellent reason to watch Night Court.

EDIT: Hey Jixby Phillips, I don't want to repeat myself, so I'll take this edit to tell you to be sure to buy the Night Court DVD Collection when it comes out! Thanks!

What are you guys going to drink and eat when you watch Night Court? I'm thinking a beer and a pizza!

Fuck that, I want Perfect Strangers on DVD.

MrAdventure

Excuse me, moderators? Normally I'm all for free speech, this being the Internet and all, but I am seriously offended not only by this individual's use of swears, but his apparent focus on changing the topic of this thread!

Please moderators, if you could, ban him, or if you really think he's just joking, please edit his post so that the words "Perfect Strangers" are replaced with the words "Night Court." Also, please consider censoring and redirecting his swear word to where we all don't have to look at it.

Thank you.

Hey everyone, to get the thread back on track, let's all try and make emoticons of our favorite Night Court characters!

$:c> "I'm Dan Fielding and I want to take you out on a date!"

C3:-( "I'm Christine Sullivan and I don't ever want to have sex! Ever!"

Lol!

I don't know how I'd explain to my speech therapist that I got banned from a forum because of a Night Court thread.

Let us not forget some of the other obvious reasons for Night Court to get on DVD. Of course I'm referring to Bull's bachelor party gone awry, leaving the gang stranded in a motel with no money and of course another great appearance by Gilbert Gottfried. Other notable memories include when Bull is left to tend to a baby and when Dan's old high school buddy gets a sex change, unbeknownst to Dan. :eek

Also, the other day I saw that Punk Brewster is available on DVD. And if that can make it, and Night Court can't, then there is something wrong with the state of the nation. Politics perhaps? Should be interesting to see how the upcoming presidential election effects the Night Court DVD saga...

MrAdventure

Consider this your second warning jewishcarpenter! You really need to realize just how annoying you are!

Those are some awesome Night Court memories bartman, the kind that should be put on a DVD and sold to concerned consumers such as myself and everyone else in this thread except jewishcarpenter! (Sorry, he just got me so mad, I don't want this to turn into a flamewar or something!)

While I know you're only mentioning Punky Brewster as a point for comparison, I would really appreciate it if there were no further mentions of any show other than Night Court in this thread! You are probably on to something big though, and I'll bet that the Skull and Dagger Society are quite plainly sitting on the keys needed to unlock an entire factory filled with Night Court DVD Collections. I have also theorized that they actually have the Night Court DVD Collection in places such as Taiwan, where the pirating rings are being controlled by the nefarious Illuminati!

If I knew what Night Court was and liked it, I would buy it on DVD also. If it was on DVD, that is.

?:C) - Harry!!!

DOn't you think Mr. Adventure if Night Court was made into a movie, Dana Carvey would be perfect for the role of harry, i though so. :)

I want the Night Court theme song blasting from every speaker at my job for 9 hours a day.

MrAdventure
Jun 7th, 2004, 04:46 PM
Wow, that's a pretty good emoticon ProfessorCool!

Check out my Roz! N:c( c)

While I think Dana Carvey might be capable of doing some of Harry's magic tricks, I have sincere doubts as to whether he can be serious enough to hand out court decisions! I'd personally rather have the entire original cast back for a two-hour movie! If the original actors were too selfish to come back for this, I'd vote for Dana Carvey, and I'd vote for Shaquille O'Neal in white-face for the role of "Bull," and Wayne Knight in black-face for the role of Roz! Lol!

Just kidding folks, if they made a Night Court movie missing a single original cast member I'd frankly kill myself before buying it!

MrAdventure
Jun 7th, 2004, 04:49 PM
You snuck in there subterfuge, so I'm sorry the reply above this one didn't include you!

Anyways, that is the kind of awesome dedication to Night Court that gets it put onto a DVD and onto the shelves faster! Thanks for doing your part! Come to think of it, I'd really like to have the Night Court soundtrack released as soon as possible!

ProfessorCool
Jun 7th, 2004, 04:49 PM
but you would still buy it after you kill yourself.

MrAdventure
Jun 7th, 2004, 07:21 PM
Professor Cool, you're being awful silly! Listen, the idea of a Night Court movie with, say, John Leguizamo instead of, say, John Larroquette, would be the equivalent of swearing in a public place! Your cast replacement idea is an amusing fallacy of your own desperation to get your own copy of the Night Court DVD Collection!

ProfessorCool

Fair Enough, but did you know most of the scenes in Night Court where filmed at Day!

Rongi
Jun 7th, 2004, 07:48 PM
While we wait for out glorious Night Court DVDs, let's draw our favorite scenes!

MrAdventure
Jun 7th, 2004, 08:05 PM
I'm curious ProfessorCool, do you have any evidence of this? I have an honest to goodness upset stomach over the idea that someone might accuse Night Court of being an illusionary sham! Face the facts ProfessorCool, this was the year 1984, blocking out the sun just to film Night Court, while more than noble, would have spun the United States into a civil war as the unwashed masses, misunderstanding the need to film Night Court twenty-four hours a day, would have caused as much panic and chaos as the time Harry began dating a rock star!

That's a good idea Rongi, though I really am not sure if there is enough talent to pay homage to Night Court! Lol! Just kidding, anyone that watches Night Court is more than guaranteed to be predisposed towards being an artistically gifted individual. I think we should draw some scenes and mail them to the cast members so that they will receive a mere fraction of a trifling of the joy that they have bestowed upon us, the viewers.

Mr. Adventure, the intererior scenes were all filmed in the day because heck, Bull Shannons need their sleep too.

Nevertheless, here;s my picture

You guys, the best thing happened to me on the way to I-Mockery.net today!

http://www.thetvzone.net/nightcourt/quizaward.gif

It's too bad my prize wasn't the Night Court DVD Collection, but you take what you can get! Except when it comes to Night Court coming out on DVD, I'm not settling for anything less than perfection!

Oh, and, those pictures are really nice! Good one ProfessorCool, I really like how you're in touch with minorities! Same goes to you Jixby Phillips, you are acting superbly in regards to showing us the true value of the Night Court television series that really needs to be put on DVD!

Oh, and, ProfessorCool, I'm pretty sure that even the indoor scenes took place at night time! These actors were dedicated individuals that would have lovingly given the series writers a vital internal organ in order to keep the show afloat!

Oh, and, Rongi, don't worry about lying to the Night Court DVD Collection Support Group. We have the justice system to deal with law breakers such as yourself!
