I'd hoped to see the ghost librarian from Ghostbusters on the list! How could they forget that one?! Course, being 7 or 8 when I saw it prolly made the scene scarier, but it's certainly up there with the Large Marge scene in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.

I also thought the T-Rex scene from Jurassic Park should have been included. To this day, I've not had the nerve to wacth that movie again. I saw it in theatres, and had to leave during that scene to go watch The Secret Garden instead.

Since it's an older piece, maybe they'll review and do a new version sometime. Or maybe we should make our own. >:

The worst scence i saw that actually made me scared was in Phantasm when the kid looks into the mirror and then the tall man burst out of it at the end. Scared the shit out of me when i was a kid.

I remember when my parents took me to see one of the start trek movies once when I was young. It was in the opening, and that bald guy had this crazy nightmare, then he wakes up, and goes to his mirror, and everytyhing's finOH SHIT SOME PURPLE CRAZY STUFF JUST POPPED OUT OF HIS CHEEK :eek :(

seriously, what the fuck was so scary about that? when I saw Ring in theaters, every bitch in the house screamed when they saw that.

It was just a very off-guard moment. You're in the scene of the very mellow and sad funeral after-party. Everyone's talking quietly, full of sorrow, and you're just taken in by the very slow and sad scene.

Then BAM! You see this twisted face of a girl in a closet. Then her head drops. It was just very jarring in how it hits you.

I admit I jumped a little bit when it happened.

but come on, they started SCREAMING. not just a nervous shriek and giggle, rather it was a horrified, ear-piercing cacophony. one stupid bitch next to me even started CRYING. I desperately wanted to beat her to death.
