I tried the demo, and it's all right. It seems like the first one with a new story.

Paper Mario 1 was cool, so I'll check out the sequel.

It's gonna be cute. Near lethal-cute. Paper mario 1 is great, but you really can't play it for too long. There is only so much niceness you can take before you want to scream and pick one of those mushroom guys, and stab a fork in it's head for being so damn cute.

Paper Mario 2 will have a weird combat engine. It's gonna rely on the crowd to throw you mushrooms and shit like that. I'm not sure I'll like that much. Also, the plot sounds cliché like hell.

Visually, though, the game will rock. And it will rock so much more than any 3D game ever will. I just hope they can put in more content, and give it slightly more of an edge than in Paper Mario 1.

If they make it for kids/teenagers, like Super Mario RPG for the SNES, it's gonna be okay. If they make it super easy, super kiddie, it won't be.

They really should have made this for the dual screen gameboy. They could have done so much with that pen. Way more variety for the action command, rather than more of that push A just before landing stuff that squaresoft came up with. Worked fine back in the SNES days, when timing was pretty much the major skill you needed to play every single game in the world - along with pattern recognition, a good memory, and well... lots of money so you could insert more credits. It's no longer relevant these days, though.

Anyway, I'm not gonna buy it because I don't pay for my games. I will however pirate it. That's the least I can do for the nintendo guys!

Too much focus on multiplayer ruins the potential that the games could have. Look at Double Dash and that new awful Zelda game. :(

Wind waker was ok for me untill that stupid tingle thing came in and told me to use a GBA.

Gamecube is not the best console at all. But that doesn't mean you can't like some games for it. Melee was no different than the first SSB. Metroid prime was good. Tales of symphonia is mocking me for not being on any other console. So not liking a console because the big video game magazines say it sucks is stupid.

The Gamecube has plenty of good, fun games. You just fail at good taste.

Gamecube is intended for 10 year olds...It has barely any mature games, even though that doesnt matter, but I hate it. I HATE IT.

Gamecube just might be the best system out there right now, though only for a few of its games. I'm sure XBox will pick up again when Halo 2 finally (ever) comes out.

The American PS2 is by far the most useless system out at the moment. At least with the Japanese one, all the good music games come out on it.

I disagree. The gamecube cant play anything but its own mini disks. While this may prevent it's games from being easily piratable, it wont allow you to play music, and on a bigger note, DVDs. On the other hand, I know that the ps2 fucks up way too much, but I like the games so much more. Thats my 2 cents on this discussion.

Playing DVDs on your PS2 fucks up the laser. Not only that, but who honestly buys a PS2 for the sole purpose of watching DVDs? You can get a DVD player for WELL under $50 now.
