-using nameservers: on my dedicated server that I share with several other people, you can just add multiple domains and have them all point to their respective locations on the server. But on a 'shared hosting' server, I think you can only have a domain name point to the root.
-forwarding to a URL: someone types the URL, then get sent to the site, but the address in the address bar changes to the site's actual name.
-forwarding to a URL with domain masking: I think this is how generalzod.net is set up, when you visit the address, no matter what pages you go to, the address bar keeps saying the original URL. This is just a little annoying since you can't do certain actions like refreshing a page without getting sent back to the index.

Send rog a PM about this. If we can't point the nameserver at a directory and have it work, i'd go for option 3. Sure, it'll be annoying, but it's not like the site will be incredibly in-depth. Plus, it'll make hotlinking the images not work, which will save bandwidth.
