I like this show. I like the womens on it, I like their acting too (mostly) I think it's funny and any show that has you unironically rooting for an unrepentant (accidental) arsonist to get away with it and not have to face any consequences is okay by me.

The commercials made it look like shit, but after hearing how good it was from a few people who's brains I enjoy, I gave it a chance and I really like it. I agree with what you say about the women, I was suprised that I liked them all and rooted for them from the get go. Very well written.
'Rex cries when he ejaculates'
fucking GOLD.

That dinner party scene was David Kelly at his very best. He lacks control, and his series Boston public was so abysmal I watched it just for how bad it was, but no one should forget he wrote Picket Fences, which had some damn fine television writing.
I agree, the add campaign is ALL wrong, it's like they think they're competing with The OC.
That scene was my favorite, but I also liked
"Local Gay activist, sometime female impersonator and part time cable installer..."
And Ms. hatcher appears to be recovering from her face lift, which is nice. For a while she had that horrible permannt surprise look.

I hear it's an intelligent show.

I heard that the show beat the World Series(maybe the alcs) in the coveted 18-34 male demographic.

I like the fact that the show is narrorated by a dead woman. :)

This, Lost and Monk are my favourite shows on TV at the moment.
It's so refreshing to see so many clever, scripted programs doing so well.

Exactly, they are trying way too hard to make it look 'sexy' and 'bitchy'. It reminds me of Twin Peaks in a way, without the Lynch factor.
"Local Gay activist, sometime female impersonator and part time cable installer..."
:lol that was soooo funny, but I wish he'd said he was sorry! I felt so bad for that guy!

Did you here Monk canned Bitty Schram? What the hell are they thinking?
I bet the Gay Activist thing isn't done yet.

There's a girl who posts on a Monk community I go to, and her uncle is Tony Shaloub. Apparently Ms. Schram was a real bitch, and was very full of herself and never showed up on time and demanded more money because she thought she was irreplaceable. She wasn't ;)
Still, it sucks because I really like her character.
And I hope you're right about the gay activist.
